April 8, 2022 – Samarkand International Airport opens a new terminal.

We are pleased to announce that from April 1, all Uzbekistan Airways flights to/from Samarkand Airport will be serviced in the new terminal. The airport will enable to handle up to 800 passengers per hour.
The new terminal at Samarkand International Airport is built in the form of an open book. It’s inspired by astronomical tables, a book by Tamerlane’s grandson Mirzo Ulugbek. Tours to Uzbekistan are a great opportunity to explore our country, Samarkand, and the heritage of the Timurid Empire.
