Fairmont’s beachfront sanctuary

This 146-key coastal retreat promises to provide a haven of serenity and wellbeing, helped by an impressive array of luxury amenities and memorable views of the Atlantic Ocean.

Located in a picturesque fishing village just 17 km from Agadir in southern Morocco, Fairmont Taghazout Bay unfurls across 18 hectares of beachfront land, and boasts a dazzling collection of rooms, suites and villas.

The property’s distinctive design combines sophistication with authenticity, drawing inspiration from the Amazigh culture. Conceived by Dallas-headquartered design firm HKS, in partnership with Moroccan architect Abdessamad Achrai, the ambitious structure cleverly blends in with its sand-coloured backdrop.

The resort also caters for all the family, not least through the inclusion of a Hangout Teen Club and Fun 4 Kids Club with indoor-outdoor space and a dedicated swimming pool.

Culinary concepts here span four restaurants, two themed bars and a tea lounge with diverse gastronomy.

Guests can dine on modern gastronomy with nomadic concepts at The Commons, try a Moroccan take on surf and turf at Beef & Reef, and experience a fusion of Japanese and American influences at the hotel’s signature restaurant. In addition, the local Gnawa music is fused with jazz at Nola, Juniper offers an outdoor bar experience immersed in botanical surroundings, and the Iris tea lounge serves up speciality teas and pastries with an ocean view.

The Fairmont Spa, meanwhile, covers an area of 1,400 sq m, which encompasses a magnesium swimming pool, and comes with a wellness menu incorporating traditional hammam rituals. There are also fitness facilities and a yoga studio for guests who want to keep active during their stay.
