January 25, 2022-  As of February 1st, 2022 fully vaccinated travelers with a QR code do no longer have to take tests or a mandatory quarantine. This is the recommendation by the EU.

This recommendation is made as omicron seems to spread far and wide and vaccinations have increased all over Europe.

Some countries might still have their own rules to which they stick. Every European country can make their own decision if they are going to follow this recommendation.

The hope is very much focused on a uniform rule for traveling.
