August 3, 2021: Information on entry restrictions, testing and quarantine regulations in Bahrain
1. Visa on arrival facility restarted. To obtain visa on arrival or apply for prior on-line visa please visit evisa site www.evisa.gov.bh. New addition – Turkmenistan and Israeli citizens (Diplomatic – Private and Service) that are valid for 6 months are eligible for Visa On-Arrival (VOA).
2. Flights from Addis Ababa (ABB) and Baku (BAK) are suspended until 15 February 2021.
3- Flights from Iraq, Lebanon and Syria are suspended until 15 February 2021.
4. Passengers are not allowed to enter.
5. Effective 21 July 2021, passengers are not allowed to enter if in the past 14 days they have been in or transited through Bangladesh, Dominican Rep., India, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Malaysia, Mexico, Mongolia, Mozambique, Myanmar, Namibia, Nepal, Pakistan, Panama, Philippines, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Tunisia, Uganda, Viet Nam or Zimbabwe;
6. Nationals of Bahrain and passengers with a residence permit issued by Bahrain, who in the past 14 days have been in or transited through Bangladesh, Dominican Rep., India, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Malaysia, Mexico, Mongolia, Mozambique, Myanmar, Namibia, Nepal, Pakistan, Panama, Philippines, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Tunisia, Uganda, Viet Nam or Zimbabwe must have a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken at most 48 hours before departure. The test result must have a QR code.
7. Passengers who in the past 14 days have not been in or transited through Bangladesh, Dominican Rep., India, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Malaysia, Mexico, Mongolia, Mozambique, Myanmar, Namibia, Nepal, Pakistan, Panama, Philippines, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Tunisia, Uganda, Viet Nam or Zimbabwe, must present a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken at most 48 hours before departure. The test result must have a QR code
8. Passengers are subject to a COVID-19 PCR test upon arrival;
9. All non-vaccinated passenger must present a negative test certificate with a QR code for a PCR test administered within 48 hours of their departure.
10. Nationals of Bahrain arriving from Viet Nam must have a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken at most 48 hours before departure. The test result must have a QR code.
11. Passengers (both vaccinated and non-vaccinated) are subject to Coronavirus (COVID-19) test at their own expense for 24 BHD and can be paid via mobile app Beware or on arrival cash/credit/debit cards using a Kiosk machine and on the 10th day of their stay in BAH. Passengers aged 6 years and below are exempt from mandatory testing requirements. Upon arrival passengers are required to quarantine for 10 days at a Government designated hotel licensed by the National Health regulatory authority (NHRA) or at the residence. Passenger must have the proof of a prepaid reservation in their name for a designated quarantine facility before boarding a flight to BAH.
12. Passengers could be subject to quarantine for 10 days.
13. Passenger who elect to quarantine in their own residence must provide proof of a residence, either owned or leased by the passenger or an immediate family member before boarding.
14. Border crossing on the causeway is suspended.
15. All passengers must wear face mask.
16. All arriving passenger must complete the Health Declaration form issue by MOH.
17. Travellers spending more than 10 days in the Kingdom are obliged to take a third mandatory COVID-19 PCR test on the 10th day of stay.
18. Travellers who test positive will be contacted by the Ministry of Health.
