 July 31, 2021: Information on entry restrictions, testing and quarantine regulations in the Czech Republic

• As of July 31^st, 2021, the Ministry of Health updated the Protective Measure regarding the conditions of entry into the Czech Republic.
  Children between 6 to 12 years of age travelling from the countries with a high or a very high risk of COVID-19 transmission may undergo RT-PCR immediately after their arrival in the Czech Republic and finish self-isolation by obtaining of a negative test result. This age group also does not need to be tested before arrival to the Czech Republic any more. An updated measure also newly enable to accept applications for long-term visas and long-term residence permits for the purpose of study pursuant to § 64 para. a) of Act No. 326/1999 Coll., on the stay of foreigners in the territory of the Czech Republic and on the amendment of certain acts as amended (study in accredited study programmes at a university for the academic / school year 2021/2022) in the countries with extreme risk of COVID-19 transmission.

Entry into the territory of the Czech Republic

The rules for entering the territory of the Czech Republic and quarantine measures are defined by the Ministry of Health (pdf, 641 kB). List of countries with a low, medium and high risk of COVID-19 transmission is HERE (pdf, 443 kB). List of countries with an extreme risk of COVID-19 transmission is HERE (pdf, 359 kB). Information regarding entry to other countries is the responsibility of the embassies in the countries of destination and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Quarantine measures and RT-PCR test conditions are the responsibility of the Ministry of Health.

The activities of diplomatic missions of the Czech Republic are gradually resumed. Depending on the epidemiological situation, the conditions for entry into the Czech Republic will also be gradually relaxed. Rules for entry and return to the Czech Republic (as of July 19^th, 2021)
– citizens of Czechia and foreign nationals with residence permit issued by Czechia
– citizens of EU+ and foreign nationals with long-term or permanent residence permit issued by EU+

– 3^rd-country nationals who do not have any residence permit issued by Czechia or long-term or permanent residence permit issued by other EU+ country
– 3^rd-country nationals who have a short-term visa issued by Czechia before 11th May 2020 or short-term or long-term visa issued by other EU+ country
