Walking tour of Petra in Jordan

After breakfast, guests will depart by coach/walking to the main gate of Petra. After the main gate at the horse’s station, horses will be available for anyone who’d like to ride a horse led by a horse man, for about 800 meters to the beginning of the Siq.  At the Siq the visit will start on foot.

The guests who do not wish to ride a horse will join the guide on foot till the beginning of the Siq and all will meet with the rest to continue the guided tour on foot.

The Siq is the sole entrance to this lost Nabatean City. It is a gorge that is over one-kilometer long passage, located between two 50-meter-high cliffs that are about five to six meters apart; ending at the main attraction of Petra, the Treasury.

The tour of Petra will take around 3 to 4 hrs. which will cover the main attractions & sites of Petra.

At the end of the guided tour guests will stroll back to the main gate for Buffet lunch at one of the hotels in Petra

if we do private excavation activity the tour will end at the theater and will take approx. 2hrs.

Buffet lunch will be served at the Basin Restaurant located inside the site
