Iberia launches non-stop flights from Madrid to Ljubljana 2024

The Iberian Group is happy that it has finally launched its new direct flights from Madrid to Ljubljana. This will give more than 2500 sits over the summer to the charming Slovenian capital. It will fly twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Flight Details

Aircraft: The route will be operated by Air Nostrum’s Canadair Regional Jet 1000 which has 100 seats in a 2-2 configuration across 25 rows.

Schedule: Iberia’s website and various travel agencies are now accepting bookings.

Inaugural Flight: The inaugural flight , IB8666, took off from Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport at 12:10 PM local time and landed at Jože Pučnik Airport at 2:40 PM Slovenian time. It was greeted with a traditional water arch and key figures such as Robert Latin (Director General of Air and Maritime Transport at Slovenia’s Ministry of Infrastructure) and Janez Lapajne (Sales and Marketing Manager at Fraport Slovenija).

To increase its regional presence, the Uganda national carrier, Uganda Airlines is to open up more routes to key cities in Africa. The objective behind this extension is to create a strong intercontinental network that will support the airlines’ long-haul flights like London, Mumbai, and Dubai.

Uganda Airlines is a revival of the original airline that ran from 1977 until 2001; it is still relatively new. Last year in August marked the beginning of operations for this version which has been striving to expand its African coverage ever since. New procedures could be put in place by Namibia for entry into the country by visitors from 31 nations, including Germany. Travellers will be required to apply online before travelling with the Ministry of Home Affairs and Immigration indicating that tourists will be required to pay a specified fee for visa processing on arrival.

This move introduces visa restrictions against countries that have failed to reciprocate friendly visa policies extended by Namibia. “Namibia has good international relations and is open to the world but some countries are not,” read the statement.

New Cambodia e-Arrival Card Launches 2024

Starting July 1, 2024, travellers to Cambodia will need to complete an online e-immigration form within seven days before their arrival. This new Cambodia e-Arrival (CeA) card aims to streamline the entry process and is available for free on the official website and through mobile apps on Google Play and the AppStore.

How to Submit the New Cambodia e-Arrival Card Launches 2024:

Registration: Travellers will have to take a photo and upload their passport details.

Complete E-Arrival Card: The new digital system replaces paper-based immigration, health forms and customs declaration which were used before.

QR Code: Upon submission of the application, a QR code is created whereby travellers should keep this code on their smartphones or print it out so as they can show it when they reach immigration points.

For those who are unable to complete this form online in advance there will be standby machines available at immigration for onsite registration.
