Budapest Airport Unveils 4 New Routes
Budapest Airport has announced that Wizz Air will be launching four new year-round routes starting in winter 2024. These routes include two new destinations and the return of two previous ones.
New and Revived Routes:
Marrakech (Morocco): Starting late October there will be a twice weekly flight on Tuesdays and Saturdays. This re-establishes a direct connection with Morocco which was last available in 2019.
Genoa (Italy): Starting late October there will be a flight three times a week which aims at Hungarian cruise travellers and tourists who previously travelled via Milan.
Girona (Spain): Starting late October this three weekly flight will improv Budapest’s connectivity to Spain and Southern France and the Pyrenees.
Memmingen (Germany): Starting December 17 this four weekly flight restores a link to Bavaria which was last available in 2012 which offers an alternative gateway to Munich.
Impact on Budapest Airport:
- Capacity Increase: Adds half a million seats annually.
