ITA Airways New Rome-Jeddah Direct Flight 2024
ITA Airways has opened a new route between Rome and Jeddah in Saudi Arabia. Since the airline started flying to Riyadh in June 2024, this new route will be the second summer 2024 destination for ITA Airways in Saudi Arabia, giving travellers more options to get into the country.
Highlights ITA Airways New Rome-Jeddah Direct Flight 2024:
Inaugural Flight:
- Aircraft: Operated by Airbus A321neo.
- Arrival: Landed at King Abdulaziz International Airport at 09:10 local time.
- Ceremonial Welcome: Received a water arch salute.
- Return Flight: Departed for Rome at 03:30.
- Ceremony: Ribbon-cutting event at Jeddah International Airport, attended by Italy’s Vice Consul General Irene Buongiorno, and senior officials from ITA Airways and Jeddah Airports.
Flight Schedule:
- Frequency: Operates three times weekly.
- Departures from Jeddah: Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays at 03:30.
- Departures from Rome: Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays at 15:05.
Emiliana Limosani, Chief Commercial Officer of ITA Airways and CEO of Volare, remarked that the new connection strengthens commercial and cultural exchanges between the Arabian Peninsula and Italy through their extensive travel options via their Rome Fiumicino hub.”
Cabin classes, Business Class, Premium Economy, Economy with a total capacity of165 seats are available on board an Airbus A321neo. Walter de Silva designed advanced entertainment systems which are included in state-of-the-art amenities offered by spacious cabins onboard this aircraft type used by ITA airlines .
