Cooking class and market visit

Our culinary adventure will begin at the Aura cooking studio, in the charming Roma Norte neighbourhood, with a welcome “agua fresca” or Mexican coffee, and an introduction to Mexico’s gastronomic history.

We then walk to the traditional neighbourhood market Mercado de Medellin, where we get to taste delicacies such as mamey fruit and grasshopper.

Back at the studio our hands-on cooking class begins. We will prepare a 4-course menu from scratch, including street appetizers with Mexican salsas, prehispanic “mextlapiques”, a traditional “mole blanco” dish, and corn cake as dessert.

Sitting around the large table, we can enjoy the delicious food accompanied by artisanal mezcal, Mexican craft beer or Mexican wine. Duration: 4.5 hours.
