Chengdu to Madrid: Sichuan Airlines Finally Gives You the Direct Flight You’ve Always Wanted

Sichuan Airlines is rolling out the red carpet (literally) with a shiny new nonstop flight between Chengdu, China, and Madrid, Spain, starting April 27, 2025. This will be the first-ever direct route between the two cities, and it’s going to be run four times a week on an Airbus A350-900. (Yeah, that’s the fancy one—no tiny uncomfortable seats here.)

This isn’t just a small deal. Madrid is turning into the place for Chinese flights, with demand on the Chengdu-Madrid route up 139% in 2024. So, get your tapa game strong because you won’t need to worry about connecting flights in a random airport halfway through your journey anymore. Hola, Spain!

Taipei to Ontario: Starlux Airlines Takes Southern California to the Next Level

Next up: Taiwan’s Starlux Airlines is saying, “Why should Los Angeles have all the fun?” and launching a nonstop route between Taipei and Ontario (yes, Ontario, not L.A.) starting June 2, 2025. You’ll get direct access to Ontario International Airport (ONT) four times a week on an Airbus A350-900, with comfy premium seats and all the good stuff you’d expect from Starlux. This means no more awkward layovers in places you never intended to visit, like random airports with questionable food courts.

Southern California is home to a large Taiwanese American population (hi, 263,000 of you), so the new route is basically a big “we see you” from Starlux. So go ahead, skip that extra connection, and make your way straight to the sunshine. Your In-N-Out cravings are now just a direct flight away.

Amman to Mumbai: Royal Jordanian Is Back in India After a Decade

And finally, Royal Jordanian is back, baby! After more than a decade of no direct flights, they’re flying nonstop between Amman (Jordan) and Mumbai (India) starting April 17, 2025. This route will operate four times a week on an Airbus A320neo, so you can count on a smooth ride to start your next adventure.
