Emirates Announces Exciting New Hangzhou China Route 2025

If you thought Emirates was done adding new dots on the China map—think again. The airline has just touched down in Hangzhou, officially making it the fifth feather in their Chinese cap, and the second new destination in less than a month. (Shenzhen, we see you.)

Flight EK310 landed at Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport on 30 July, greeted with the kind of ceremonial fanfare usually reserved for pop stars and panda diplomacy.

From Dubai to Dumplings

The new daily service is more than just a flight – it’s basically a flying hotel lobby with legroom. Operated by a Boeing 777-300ER, this airborne marvel comes equipped with:

  • 8 First Class suites (a.k.a. your own private sky apartment),
  • 42 lie-flat Business Class seats for the power-nappers,
  • 304 Economy seats for the rest of us, and

Enough cargo space to haul 16 tonnes of goods, which means yes, someone’s probably flying your new blender right now.

And the perks? Oh, just regionally inspired Chinese cuisine (hand-pulled noodles, anyone?) and Emirates’ award-winning ICE entertainment system—featuring over 6,500 channels. That’s more shows than your friend who “only watches documentaries” will ever admit to bingeing.

China x 5, and Counting

With Hangzhou now on the map, Emirates’ China network has officially gone Avengers-level assembled. The airline now operates 49 weekly flights across Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, and the new kid on the tarmac—Hangzhou.

It’s like they’re collecting Chinese cities like Pokémon. Gotta connect ‘em all.

But this isn’t just a flex on how many airports they can conquer. It’s all about connectivity—not just for passengers (although we do appreciate the new excuse to go shopping on West Lake), but for cargo too.

Because Hangzhou isn’t just beautiful, it’s also a powerhouse in e-commerce. With advanced logistics infrastructure and a flair for fast shipping, it’s now even easier to get everything from jade bracelets to robot vacuums zipping from China to Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and beyond—via Dubai, of course.

Fancy Arrival? Emirates Has a Car for That

Now, if you’re one of the lucky ones traveling First or Business Class, your Hangzhou adventure just got even fancier. Emirates has rolled out its complimentary chauffeur-drive service in the city—so you can step off your long-haul flight and glide through Hangzhou like you’re in a perfume commercial.

This service is now available in over 70 cities worldwide, which means you can basically land looking like you slept in a drawer and still be whisked away in style. Thanks, Emirates.

Not Just a Flight – It’s a Relationship

This isn’t a one-off route or a “let’s see how it goes” experiment. Emirates is playing the long game. This expansion reflects their deepening commitment to China’s aviation, trade, and tourism sectors. And they’re not doing it alone—they’ve got partnerships with local airlines, cultural institutions, and probably a few tea houses by now.

So what does this mean for you?

  • If you’re a business traveler: hello, faster connections and more direct routes.
  • If you’re a tourist: time to add Hangzhou’s West Lake, tea plantations, and silk markets to your bucket list.
  • If you’re cargo: well, you don’t read articles, but you’re about to get from A to B a whole lot quicker.

Final Boarding Call

So here’s the headline: Emirates is back at it—linking the world, one luxe flight at a time, now with extra Chinese flavor. Whether you’re craving high-end travel, strategic trade routes, or just want to watch all the movies on ICE while eating dumplings at 35,000 feet, Hangzhou just became your new favorite layover.

Now boarding: comfort, culture, and connectivity. And probably someone’s very urgent bubble tea shipment.
