airBaltic Adds Exciting New Routes to Winter 2025 Schedule

airBaltic Adds Exciting New Routes to Winter 2025 Schedule

Latvian carrier airBaltic is turning up the heat for the Winter 2025 season—and no, we don’t mean the in-flight coffee. From seaside getaways in Portugal to snowy slopes in the Alps, the airline has unveiled a robust winter schedule that brings three new routes, increased flight frequencies, and continued service to some of Europe’s most sought-after destinations.

Running from late October 2025 through late March 2026, the winter program offers sunseekers, snow lovers, and city hoppers plenty to get excited about—even if the temperatures outside say otherwise.

New Winter Routes: Sunshine, Slopes, and Surprise Pairings

Let’s start with the newcomers. airBaltic is rolling out three brand-new routes to warm up your winter:

Riga – Faro (Portugal)
Start date: September 6, 2025 | Once weekly
Swap the snow for Algarve’s Atlantic breeze. This new route connects Latvia’s capital with Portugal’s sun-kissed southern coast just as the Baltic weather starts getting serious about frostbite.

Gran Canaria – Ljubljana (Slovenia)
Start date: October 25, 2025 | Once weekly
This one’s a wildcard—and a welcome one. Linking the Canary Islands with Slovenia’s charming capital, it’s perfect for travelers wanting to escape island life or spice up their winter with a little Adriatic flair.

Tallinn – Madeira (Portugal)
Start date: October 26, 2025 | Once weekly
Estonia meets the eternal spring of Madeira. Expect floral walks, mountain views, and a climate that makes you forget what month it is.

All three routes will be served weekly, offering both Economy and Business options—because sometimes you want a good deal, and sometimes you want a glass of bubbly at 30,000 feet.

Amsterdam, Amplified

It’s not just new destinations getting attention. airBaltic is also beefing up connections to major European hubs—most notably Amsterdam. The airline will now offer a whopping 19 flights per week from Riga, and 14 weekly flights each from Tallinn and Vilnius. That’s nearly three flights a day, giving Baltic travelers serious flexibility (and more opportunities to accidentally spend €40 on stroopwafels).

Dubai Dreaming

As temperatures in Northern Europe drop, interest in sunny escapes soars—and airBaltic is clearly listening. Daily flights from Riga to Dubai will keep the connection hot, while Vilnius to Dubai will see its service double to four times per week. Whether you’re heading for high-end shopping, desert adventures, or just a reliably warm beach, Dubai’s got you covered—and now more often than ever.

Summer Routes, Reimagined

Who says summer has to end in August? airBaltic is extending several sunny routes into the winter months:

  • Riga to Pisa and Porto will continue through November, letting you squeeze in a bit more gelato or port wine before winter hits.
  • Riga to Catania (Sicily) will also resume earlier than usual, now returning to the skies in March 2026, perfect for an early spring escape to Italian island life.

Egypt Escapes and Irish Returns

If pyramids and Red Sea snorkeling are on your wishlist, you’re in luck. airBaltic is increasing winter service to Egypt, with three weekly flights each to Sharm El-Sheikh and Hurghada from Riga.

Meanwhile, the popular Riga–Dublin route is making a winter comeback, offering two weekly flights, reconnecting Baltic travelers with the Irish capital—and maybe a proper pint of Guinness.

Snowbound? Sorted.

Ski bums and snowboarders, rejoice. airBaltic has made sure you’re covered with easy access to Europe’s top winter sports destinations. From Innsbruck and Salzburg to Geneva, Verona, and Kittilä, hitting the slopes is as easy as buckling your boots and boarding your flight.

A Winter to Remember

Whether you’re chasing sun, snow, or something in between, airBaltic’s Winter 2025 schedule brings together a smart mix of new destinations, expanded service, and extended seasonal favorites. With thoughtful connections across the Baltics, Southern Europe, and beyond, the airline is making it easier than ever to swap grey skies for great adventures.

So, go ahead—book the trip. Your winter story is about to get a whole lot warmer (or chillier, if that’s your thing).

Lufthansa Group unveils Exciting Winter 2025/26 flight schedule

If your idea of a perfect winter includes hot chocolate, snow-covered mountains, and a spontaneous trip to Tokyo or the Seychelles—then great news: the Lufthansa Group just dropped its Winter 2025/26 flight schedule like it’s the season’s hottest new Netflix show.

The group’s star-studded cast—Lufthansa, Austrian Airlines, SWISS, Brussels Airlines, Eurowings, and Discover Airlines—have all signed on for a winter full of shiny new routes, upgraded cabins, and just enough chaos to keep things interesting. Flights kick off from October 26, and you can already book your seat before that one indecisive friend ruins your travel plans.

Lufthansa: A350s, Allegris, and a Cabin Makeover That Would Impress Marie Kondo

Let’s start with the headliner: Lufthansa. This winter, they’re giving their long-haul fleet a makeover with the sleek new Allegris cabins, because apparently, even airplanes deserve spa days. The upgrade covers every cabin class—from Economy (where your knees may now rejoice) to First Class (where you basically get a hotel suite in the sky).

And they’re not being shy about it. Ten fancy Airbus A350-900s with Allegris are flying out of Munich daily to the likes of New York (both JFK and Newark, because Lufthansa doesn’t pick sides), Chicago, Miami, Tokyo, Cape Town, and Shanghai. Bengaluru gets three weekly flights, which is perfect if you’re craving sunshine and tech startups.

Meanwhile, Frankfurt gets in on the glam with Allegris debuting on the Boeing 787-9 and those big, beautiful 747-8s (the ones that look like they belong in a museum but still rock the skies).

Lufthansa’s also keeping some summer newcomers—Bydgoszcz (Poland) and Oradea (Romania)—through winter. Oh, and the Airbus A380 is sticking around in Munich for its greatest hits tour to LA, San Francisco, Bangkok, and Delhi, because passengers love it and so do the flight crews (and frankly, we all enjoy walking upstairs mid-flight just because we can).

Austrian Airlines: Moving Milan, Doubling Down on Bangkok

Austrian Airlines is channeling their inner travel influencer by increasing flights from Vienna to Bangkok to up to twice daily—perfect for those who prefer pad thai over strudel in January.

And for anyone tired of dragging themselves across Milan’s endless airport hallways, good news: Austrian is switching flights from Malpensa to the much more central Linate Airport, aka Milan’s version of “actually convenient.”

They’re also expanding Innsbruck’s international menu, now offering flights to Amsterdam, in addition to Brussels, Warsaw, and Copenhagen. So yes, your ski trip just got some extra culture baked in.

SWISS: Eastern Europe and Alpine Access for the Ski-Happy

SWISS is focusing on Eastern Europe and snow-chasers. Routes to Krakow, Cluj-Napoca, and Košice return like seasonal favorites, and Washington D.C. gets added back to Zurich’s long-haul list—because nothing says winter quite like Swiss precision meeting Capitol Hill gridlock.

Out of Geneva, they’re boosting flights to Ireland, the UK, and Scandinavia, mostly to accommodate the incoming flood of people who just realized the Swiss Alps > any Zoom background.

Brussels Airlines: All In on Africa

Brussels Airlines is quietly becoming the go-to airline if your travel bucket list includes West Africa. They’re adding more flights to Togo, Senegal, Guinea, Liberia, Ghana, and Sierra Leone—basically reinforcing their title as Lufthansa Group’s African network MVP.

Eurowings: Turning Berlin into a Desert Gateway

Eurowings is feeling fancy. This winter, they’ll fly three times a week to Abu Dhabi from Berlin, making it the capital’s third long-haul destination after Dubai and Jeddah. Berlin–Dubai also gets a frequency boost (up to 11 times a week), probably because Berliners realized it’s warmer there.

Plus: HanoverDubai, StuttgartJeddah, and new Marsa Alam flights from Cologne, Hamburg, and Berlin. Basically, if there’s sun involved, Eurowings is taking you there.

Discover Airlines: Seychelles and Snow in the Same Schedule

Last but not least, Discover Airlines is really living up to its name. This winter, they’re launching direct flights from Frankfurt to the Seychelles—because yes, you do deserve that tropical escape after surviving German winter.

Other highlights? MunichPunta Cana (sun, rum, done) and a chilly new route to Alta, Norway, for those who enjoy snowflakes and Northern Lights more than sunburn and sand.

Bottom line? Lufthansa Group’s winter schedule is stacked. Whether you’re chasing sun, snow, schnitzel, or a better seat in business class, they’ve got you covered—Allegris and all.

Iberia is clearly leaning into the winter magic for 2025/26, and honestly, we’re all for it! The airline’s giving us the perfect excuse to escape the chill, with a splash of pasta, croissants, schnitzel, and a whole lot of snowy adventures. Whether you’re envisioning a Roman holiday, indulging in Parisian pastries, or taking a snowball fight in the Arctic, Iberia’s making sure your winter is full of spice (and all the right flights).

Italy, France, and Austria—What’s Not to Love?

First on the agenda: Rome, baby. Iberia’s cranking up the love for Italy, offering a whopping 44 weekly flights from Madrid. Yep, you read that right—44! That’s two more than last year, because who’s going to say no to an extra pizza or two? Iberia’s making it so easy to get to the Eternal City that you might just end up living there (no promises). Their 2025 schedule is seriously packed, offering 380,000 seats. To put that into perspective, that’s enough space to fill the Colosseum and still have room for a whole bunch of gladiators.

Next stop: Paris. Iberia is keeping that Madrid-to-Paris connection strong with up to 11 flights a day. Who needs to send a “Wish you were here” text when you can be in the City of Lights, sipping wine, and eating croissants within hours? It’s basically the adult version of a magic carpet ride.

Oh, and Vienna? Don’t think Iberia forgot about this charming city. The Austrian capital is getting an upgrade too, with 23 weekly flights (that’s two more than last year). More opportunities to dance around Vienna’s majestic streets, eat schnitzel until you’re in a food coma, and struggle to pronounce “Wiener Schnitzel” like a local. But hey, we’ve all been there.

The Arctic Is Calling

Now, for all you winter wonderland seekers out there, Iberia has some seriously frosty plans for you. Get ready to pack your warmest clothes (and maybe a thermos of hot cocoa) because Iberia is launching seasonal flights to two of the most magical places on Earth. Starting Dec 3, 2025, you can jet off to Rovaniemi in Finland, which is literally Santa’s hometown. Forget about your average holiday postcard—this is the real deal. You’ll be strolling through a winter fairy tale, and who knows, you might even run into a jolly man in a red suit.

But that’s not all. If you’re more into the aurora borealis than the jolly old elf, then Tromsø, Norway is where you need to be. Iberia’s flights will run through Feb 28, 2026, giving you ample time to chase the Northern Lights and tick off a major item on your winter bucket list. Plus, it’s Tromsø—where you can basically experience the real-life version of Elsa from Frozen (without the singing, of course).

More Snow, More Fun

And if that’s still not enough snow for you, get this: Innsbruck, Austria is coming in hot with new direct flights from Iberia starting Dec 21, 2025, through to April 5, 2026. Picture this: you, the Alps, skis, snowboards, and maybe a cheeky mulled wine or two by the fire. That’s basically winter in a nutshell, right?

Iberia’s Winter Wonderland Awaits

So there you have it! Iberia’s winter 2025/26 routes are basically a passport to all things cozy, charming, and wonderfully European. Whether you’re after the romance of Rome, the twinkling lights of Paris, the coffee-sipping culture of Vienna, or the snow-covered wonders of the North, Iberia’s got you covered. So what are you waiting for? Grab your coat, book your flight, and get ready to turn winter travel into an absolute snow-filled dream. And don’t forget to layer up—because you’re going to need it.

Flights to Festive Paradise

Why settle for your neighbourhood holiday lights when Iberia’s got two weekly flights to Salzburg and Innsbruck, where the Austrian Alps set the stage for snow sports and Christmas markets straight out of a fairytale?

If northern magic is more your vibe, Iberia’s also flying you to Tromsø (Norway) and Rovaniemi (Finland) with two to four weekly flights. Think Aurora Borealis, Arctic adventures, and yes, Santa himself—because sometimes, you just need to shake hands with the guy who double-checks your naughty list.

Rovaniemi: Santa’s Star Attraction

Speaking of the big guy in red, Rovaniemi is rolling out the red (and white) carpet for winter visitors, thanks to a 74% increase in flights compared to last year. Apparently, Santa’s workshop has been upgraded to “tourist hotspot,” and Iberia was happy to oblige. Will there be elves onboard? Who’s to say? But we’re betting the airline will deliver festive touches to keep the holiday spirit flying high.

Slopes, Snow, and Seasonal Magic

Whether it’s skiing in Austria, chasing the Northern Lights in Norway, or snowball fights under Finland’s winter skies, Iberia’s winter schedule is your ticket to frosty fun. Bonus points for traveling with an airline that makes sure you arrive warm, cosy, and maybe with a cup of hot cocoa in hand.

  • 50,000 seats: That’s a lot of chances to escape your same-old winter routine.
  • Festive thrills: Santa’s calling, and he’s got Iberia on speed dial.

So, grab your snow boots, dig out your ugliest holiday sweater, and hop aboard. Iberia’s expanded winter line-up isn’t just about flying—it’s about making memories as magical as a snow-covered postcard. Winter wonderlands, here you come!
