United Airlines is back at it again, rolling out their biggest international expansion yet. That’s right—eight brand-new cities worldwide are about to be added to your travel bucket list, starting in May 2025. Whether you’re dreaming of Arctic chills or Mediterranean thrills, United’s got something for everyone. So, buckle up, because your next vacation just got a serious upgrade!

  • Palermo, Italy: Beginning May 21, jet to Sicily for cannolis, mafia movie locations, and ancient ruins that will make your selfies look straight out of a history book.
  • Bilbao, Spain: Starting May 31, visit Spain’s cultural gem, home to the Guggenheim Museum and enough pintos (Basque tapas) to fuel your adventures.
  • Madeira Island & Faro, Portugal: United’s new routes, starting May 16 (Faro) and June 7 (Madeira), will whisk you away to golden beaches and lush landscapes—perfect for your next “just relaxing” vacation post.
  • Dakar, Senegal: Launching May 23, United is now your gateway to West Africa’s stunning beaches, historical landmarks, and maybe a surprise surf session.
  • Nice, France & Venice, Italy: United’s routes make basking in the sun on the French Riviera or sailing through the waters of Venice wannabe easier than ever with new flights from Washington D.C.&Dulles
  • Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, & Kaohsiung, Taiwan: As for those who are eager to travel to new unexplored places, fly to see the reindeer-filled landscapes of Mongolia starting May 1, or the modern-historic coastal city of Taiwan starting July 11, the new flight routes will be available.
  • Koror, Palau: Known for its underwater wonders, Palau will now be connected to the U.S. via Tokyo/Narita. Bring your snorkel gear!

More Routes = More Fun

As if all that wasn’t enough, United’s turning up the heat by adding early flight start dates for Venice, Athens, and Barcelona. And for those obsessed with Croatia or Mallorca, they’re boosting weekly flights to Dubrovnik and Palma de Mallorca, from New York too. Your summer is about to get a lot more international.
