Qatar Airways Exciting New Summer 2025 Schedule With Flights, Upgrades, and Goodbyes

Qatar Airways is back at it—rearranging its summer schedule like a DJ remixing a classic hit. Whether it’s adding flights, swapping aircraft, or quietly ghosting some routes, the airline is making sure that Summer 2025 (March 30 – October 25) will keep travellers guessing. If you love last-minute surprises, this one’s for you!

More Flights, More Choices, and More Double-Deckers

Let’s start with the good news—Qatar Airways is going all in on several popular destinations. If you love options (and who doesn’t?), here’s what’s in store:

  • Bangkok is getting an upgrade, with flights increasing from 35 to 38 per week from June through September. And for those who appreciate a grand entrance, 10 of those flights will be on the legendary Airbus A380—a flying palace in the sky.
  • Nice is getting, well, nicer! Instead of four flights per week, Qatar Airways is boosting its service to daily flights to the French Riviera. Because nothing says summer like sipping rosé on the Côte d’Azur.
  • Phuket keeps its 14 weekly flights, dodging a planned reduction. Seems like someone at HQ really wanted their beach holiday secured.
  • London Gatwick flyers, rejoice! From July 16, both daily flights will be on the swanky Boeing 787-9, offering a smoother, more comfortable ride.

And that’s not all—Frankfurt, Hanoi, and Ho Chi Minh City are also getting a flight frequency boost, proving once again that Qatar Airways refuses to sit still.

Plane Swaps: Bigger, Smaller, or Just Different?

Qatar Airways loves to mix things up, and this season is no exception. Some routes are getting upgraded aircraft, while others are seeing a little downsizing. Here are the highlights:

  • Algiers moves up in the world with the larger Airbus A330-300. More seats, more legroom, and a better chance of scoring an empty row.
  • Zurich travellers might get a treat with the A350-1000 making occasional appearances, because Swiss precision deserves Qatari luxury.
  • Denpasar (Bali) will experience a game of aircraft musical chairs, starting with a 787-8 before upgrading to a 777-300ER in June. Perfect for stretching out after a yoga retreat.
  • Isfahan returns to the map with twice-weekly flights from August 1, operated by the Airbus A320. It’s not the biggest, but hey, it gets you there!

Now for the Not-So-Great News…

Not all routes are winners this time around. Some destinations are getting trimmed down, and others are disappearing altogether. Here’s what’s on the chopping block:

  • Belgrade, Copenhagen, Geneva, and Osaka are seeing frequency reductions, so travellers in these cities might want to lock in their seats early.
  • Paris and Rome are getting slight downgrades, possibly to make space for all those extra Bangkok flights. Priorities, people.

And the biggest disappointment?

  • No extra flights for New York or Los Angeles. If you were hoping for an extra daily flight to JFK or that much-hyped increase to 14 weekly flights to LAX, sorry—Qatar Airways just isn’t feeling it this year.
  • Lyon and Mersin? Gone. The airline has officially pulled the plug on these routes. Blink and you missed them.

What’s the Verdict? Qatar Airways Keeps Travelers on Their Toes

If you’ve booked a Qatar Airways flight for summer 2025, you might want to double-check your itinerary. You could be flying on a bigger plane, a smaller plane, or—if luck isn’t on your side—no plane at all.

One thing’s for sure: Qatar Airways knows how to keep things interesting. Whether it’s adding flights, upgrading aircraft, or saying goodbye to select routes, the airline is making sure there’s never a dull moment in the skies!

April 5, 2022 – Air Serbia expands network

Air Serbia will begin expanding its network this month with the introduction and resumption of routes, additional flights, expansion of its charter network and capacity growth.

Air Serbia expands network

As of next week, the airline will increase frequencies on a number of destinations from its Belgrade base including Amsterdam, Athens, Berlin, Copenhagen, Dusseldorf, Milan, Oslo, Paris, Podgorica, Rome, Sarajevo, Skopje, Stockholm, Tivat, Zagreb and Zurich. The carrier will also resume operations to Venice next week after more than two years.

During this month, Air Serbia will launch the first of its fourteen new routes, with services to Valencia to be inaugurated on April 21. Sales for the first flight are performing well, with the carrier upgrading capacity to the Airbus A320 aircraft.

Air Serbia expands network:

Starting next week, Air Serbia is commencing its summer charter program with operations kicking off to Hurghada. This year, the carrier will maintain leisure flights to Greece, Turkey, Egypt, Italy and Algeria. Destinations include Antalya, Bodrum, Cephalonia, Chania, Corfu, Gazipasa, Dalaman, Heraklion, Hurghada, Izmir, Oran, Palermo, Rhodes, Samos, Sharm El Sheikh, Skiathos and Zakynthos.

Air Serbia expands network:
The most frequent are once again Antalya in Turkey and Hurghada in Egypt. Air Serbia will also operate charters from Niš to Antalya, Gizpasa and Hurghada, with services to commence in mid-June. “Although the peak travel period is still in June, July, August, and mid-September, in the last few years we have also seen growth in charter services during April, May, October, and November”, the airline said. Last year, Air Serbia operated a total of 1.100 round trip charter flights, carrying some 140.000 passengers.

The Serbian carrier is expected to see a boost in demand next month after the basketball EuroLeague Final Four tournament, which was due to be held in Berlin, was moved to Belgrade due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

In line with the expected finalists and spike in demand, the airline is increasing capacity on flights to Athens and Barcelona, with teams from Greece, Spain and Turkey expected to take part. In the coming period, Air Serbia also plans to expand its Airbus fleet, to complement the addition of regional turboprop aircraft.

The carrier’s CEO, Jiri Marek, recently said, “We are continuing the massive expansion of our network in order to complement the existing service and provide passengers the broadest possible selection when planning trips and holidays. We plan to fly to more than sixty destinations in Europe, North America, and the Middle East this year. An exciting a dynamic period is ahead of us”.
