Bratislava Airport Gets Ready for Exciting Takeoff 2025: More Flights, More Jobs, and Definitely More Pastries!

Hold onto your seatbelts, folks—Bratislava Airport is about to level up, and it’s not just the flights that are soaring. With a juicy $100 million boost from Ryanair (and some extra help from Norwegian and Pegasus), this airport is about to become one of Europe’s hottest travel hubs. We’re talking more routes, more passengers, and possibly more pastries—because who can resist a Slovak pastry after a long flight?

Ryanair Takes the Wheel with New Routes and Extra Planes

Starting from the summer of 2025, Ryanair will begin flying five new routes from Bratislava, and I am positive the sun lovers will appreciate this. Additionally, these destinations are not random, and might actually be on the summer wishlist which include areas such as Gdansk, Bari, Zadar, Skiathos, and Milan Malpensa. Also, can we get a Mediterranean beach please?

In a shocking turn of events, the airline Ryanair seems to be opening more aircraft options which can only signal good things for tourists hoping to visit the beautiful regions in Bratislava. Ryanair confirms that in about a months time, they will have two additional planes in their fleet. But it’s not just the planes, they are planning on increasing the airport capacity by 25%, and the best part is this will help generate around 1000 jobs and create a great deal of joy with 90 high paying aviation jobs. Ladies and gentlemen, there is only one way to say this, but Bratislava has officially made it’s mark on the world.

Norwegian Airlines Brings the Nordic Cool Back

Missed the chill vibes of Scandinavia? Norwegian Airlines is bringing back its direct route to Copenhagen starting June 28, 2025—10 years after it was last in the air. Why? Because Slovaks have been itching for that Nordic experience. With two flights per week on Tuesdays and Saturdays, you can now pop over for some hygge and maybe a little Viking flair.

Pegasus Airlines Adds More Sweet Spots to the List

If you’ve ever flown with Pegasus, you know they’ve got the budget-friendly magic down. Well, get ready for even more options! The low-cost carrier is doubling down on its presence at Bratislava with routes to places like Istanbul, Milan, London, Hurghada, and Skopje. Oh, and let’s not forget Antalya—still flying strong after it became a local favourite last year. Pegasus is basically your golden ticket to affordable European and beyond adventures.

Bratislava’s Skyrocketing Growth

In 2024, almost 2 million passengers flew in and out of Bratislava. That’s pretty impressive, right? Well, with these exciting new routes, 2025 is shaping up to break that record in a big way. Plus, the Slovak government is all in with its National Aviation Strategy, which means more tourists, more business, and more reasons to celebrate. Basically, Slovakia’s future in aviation looks pretty darn bright.

Bratislava Airport: Europe’s New Favourite Hub

With destinations like Bari, Zadar, and Gdansk on the radar, Bratislava is quickly becoming the go-to gateway for European exploration. Plus, with connections to Istanbul, Antalya, and London, it’s not just about Europe—it’s about traveling beyond, too. As the airport grows, it’s shaping up to be the perfect alternative to Vienna’s busy terminals. Time to swap that overpriced Vienna ticket for one of Bratislava’s sweet deals!

Bratislava Airport Gets Ready for Exciting Takeoff 2025

So, what are you waiting for? Pack your bags (and maybe some extra room for a few Slovak pastries), because Bratislava is about to take you to some amazing places. Let the adventures begin!

Croatia airlines expands

September 28, 2022 -During the winter season, Croatia’s flag carrier will be connecting Croatia with 13 European destinations

In the 2022/2023 winter timetable, Croatia Airlines, Croatia’s flag carrier and member of Star Alliance, is introducing new international routes, is continuing to operate flights on a number of seasonal routes, and is increasing the total number of flights and seats available compared to last year’s winter period.

Croatia Airlines

In the period between 30th October this year and 25th March 2023, Croatia’s flag carrier is planning to connect Croatia with 13 international destinations, and operate flights on a total of 19 international routes. More specifically, the company is planning to operate more than 8,500 scheduled flights, and offer approximately 869,000 seats, which is a 28 percent increase in the number of flights and seats offered this winter compared to the number of flights and seats offered in the 2021/2022 winter timetable. In other words, during the winter months, Croatia’s flag carrier is looking to contribute to the development of both Croatia’s tourism product and the transport infrastructure of the Republic of Croatia significantly.

The introduction of direct international flights between Split and Zurich, and between Pula and Zurich is a novelty. In the period between the end of October this year and mid-January 2023, we will be operating flights on both routes twice a week – on Wednesdays, and Saturdays. Return air tickets for passengers flying from either Split or Pula are available from 149 euros.

In response to increased market demand, the company is continuing to operate scheduled international flights between Rijeka and Munich even in the winter timetable; more specifically, until mid-January 2023. On this route, flights will be available three times a week – on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays.

The company is also continuing to operate scheduled international flights between Zagreb and Dublin until mid-January 2023. On this route, flights will be available twice a week – on Thursdays, and Sundays. Return air tickets for passengers flying on this route are available from 189 euros.

Also, Croatia Airlines is continuing to connect the east of Croatia with the world throughout the entire year by flying on the Osijek-Munich international route. Two flights a week will be available to passengers – on Mondays, and Fridays – with return air tickets starting from 129 euros.

During the winter season, Croatia’s flag carrier will be connecting Zagreb Airport directly with a total of 13 international destinations – Amsterdam, Vienna, Brussels, Dublin, Frankfurt, Copenhagen, London (Heathrow), Munich, Paris, Rome (via Split), Sarajevo, Skopje, and Zurich.

From Split Airport, flights to four international destinations are planned; more specifically, flights will be operated daily to Munich (return air tickets starting from 149 euros), daily to Frankfurt (return air tickets starting from 169 euros), daily to Rome (return air tickets starting from 109 euros), and twice a week to Zurich.

Besides expanding its international network of flights, Croatia Airlines is also continuing to maintain the air connectivity of Croatia’s cities and regions by offering scheduled domestic flights to and from 5 Croatian airports (Zagreb, Split, Dubrovnik, Zadar, and Pula).

Croatia Airlines’ network of both international and domestic flights during the winter season has been tailored to meet the market demand for air transport services, which the company continuously monitors. The planned flight timetable is subject to change, and depends on the development of the public health and safety, and security situation in both Croatia and the world.
