Signature spa treatments include Rejuvenate & Flourish treatment featuring locally sourced botanicals and ingredients from the volcanic surroundings of the nearby UNESCO World Heritage-listed Wudalianchi Global Geopark. November 29, 2021 – Radisson in Venice – the Collection further expands in Italy with the opening of fourth hotel in the heart of Venice

Set in an exceptional Venetian jewel of architecture by the Cannaregio canal, Radisson Collection Hotel, Palazzo Nani Venice opens its doors in the historic heart of the city.

Radisson in Venice

Radisson Collection Hotel, Palazzo Nani Venice is situated close to the Venetian Ghetto in the northern part of the city. The hotel’s 52 beautifully designed rooms, offering views of the Cannaregio Canal, city streets or the quiet courtyard, create a sense of serenity through a refined color palette and soft fabrics. The interior decoration preserves the stuccos and frescoes attributed to the Italian sculptor Alessandro Vittoria, who also remodeled the palazzo in the 1680s.

Built in the 16th century, the hotel was the residence of the Nani family, an ancient Venetian family engaged in the political, social and cultural life of the city’s rich past. A 22-month extensive renovation project led by architects Studio Marco Piva and approved by the Fine Arts Heritage Committee, has transformed Palazzo Nani into a five-star Radisson Collection Hotel, renowned for offering exceptional service and guest experiences. The restoration work aimed to preserve the original decorative and architectural elements of the building’s façade and interiors. Special attention was paid to the restoration of historical ornaments, stuccos and paintings on the walls and ceilings. During the excavation works, some Roman flooring was found and registered by the Fine Arts and Heritage Protection Authorities.

“We’re thrilled to establish our presence in this iconic city with our premium lifestyle brand Radisson Collection, which includes emblematic properties in unique locations with exceptional style and service. Following the successful opening of Radisson Collection Hotel, Palazzo Touring Club Milan in August, we now have four Radisson Collection hotels in operation in Italy and continue to expand in the country.” states Chema Basterrechea, President EMEA at Radisson Hotel Group.

The hotel’s facilities include a private meeting room and space which can host up to 80 people, and the Zoja Wine Bar & Terrace, named after the noble family that also once resided in the Palazzo, which offers traditional Venetian food, wine and cocktails in a cosmopolitan atmosphere. The serene garden on the north side of the hotel overlooks the Cannaregio Canal, creating a visual garden-water connection.

Radisson Collection Hotel, Palazzo Nani Venice lies in the Cannaregio district, known for the historic Jewish Ghetto and the many local bars and restaurants offering a truly Venetian experience. The Vaporetto stop just outside the hotel provides easy access to the rest of the city with its sights, and connects the hotel to the train station, airport and the popular islands of Murano and Burano. Venice is the second-most visited Italian city after Rome with the highest number of international tourists thanks to its world-famous artistic heritage, unique urban architecture and its UNESCO World Heritage Site status. Venice also hosts art and architecture biennales, the internationally renowned film festival and other cultural exhibitions throughout the year.

With the health and safety of guests and team members as its top priority, Radisson Collection Hotel, Palazzo Nani Venice is implementing the Radisson Hotels Safety Protocol program. The in-depth cleanliness and disinfection protocols were developed in partnership with SGS, the world’s leading inspection, verification, testing and certification company, and are designed to ensure guest safety and peace of mind from check-in to check-out.

The luxury brand is expected to grow to 60 properties around the world by 2030.

It adds a fresh and exciting new dimension to Accor’s luxury offerings. A key focus of our growth and development strategy is to add aggressively across our strongest lines and leading business accelerators, which includes luxury as well as collection brands, while ensuring all 40+ brands in our global network continue to grow, evolve and flourish,” said Sébastien Bazin, Chairman & CEO, Accor. “The hotels we will feature in Emblems Collection  hotels are those sought out by travelers who appreciate high-end, boutique-style experiences, as well as by hoteliers who cherish the independent brands they’ve built while desiring the benefits that come with a global partner.”

With a similar free-spirited approach, yet focused on the luxury segment, Emblems Collection hotels will feature unique hotels that are ‘emblematic’ of their designers, demographics or destinations. Appealing to the stylish and the smart set, signature elements of the brand’s hotels will include luxurious surroundings, Instagram-worthy pools, and vibrant public spaces. Hotels and resorts joining the Emblems Collection will fall into three categories:

Moreover, Emblems Collection hotels provides direct ROI and the opportunity to maximize revenue with immediate access to the power of Accor’s sales, distribution and loyalty platform.

“For owners and developers who have created unique luxury hotels, or are looking to develop a new upmarket offering, we offer a collection brand that can boost their property’s status and profile with limited investment in marketing and branding, along with an easy transition process,” said Agnes Roquefort, Chief Development Officer, Accor. “With Emblems Collection, a hotelier can optimize their costs and operations right away by leveraging Accor’s powerful global distribution and supply networks, while expanding their audience reach from the moment they join. Riga’s new airport hotel – Hotel Hampton by Hilton planned in 2022

hotel news

blank

blank

blank

blank

November 24, 2021 – Riga’s new airport hotel set to open in 2022.

A hotel with 189 guest rooms worth 14.9 million euros is being constructed near Riga International Airport. The economy class hotel Hampton by Hilton will be the first global chain hotel in direct vicinity of Riga Airport, and it is expected to open its doors already in the 2nd quarter of 2022. The construction works have been entrusted to Latvian company UBP.

Riga’s new airport hotel

The three-star hotel will be located approximately a kilometre away from the airport exit and will thus be easily accessible to transit passengers and late guests. It will be a few minutes’ walk away, saving potential guests the transport fare. It is planned that the hotel will have a spacious 120 square metre business centre, a restaurant, a gym, and 90 parking spaces. The construction works were already started in December 2020 and are going to be completed at the beginning of next year. The opening of the hotel is planned in April 2022.

“Every major airport should have a hotel nearby where transit passengers can spend the night between their flights or have a rest if their flight is cancelled or delayed. We are glad to be able to take part in the improvement of the surroundings of Riga International Airport, helping to build a global chain hotel. I believe the hotel will be appreciated by both visitors and locals of Riga because high quality accommodation near the airport will promote the flow of tourists and contribute to the economy. We are also delighted to begin cooperation with our new partner I Asset Management and hope to implement other important projects together in the future,” says Bigbank Latvia Corporate Loan Department manager Mareks Grodskis.

Bigbank Latvia has supported the construction of the Hampton by Hilton hotel, granting a six million euro loan. Development of the project continues despite the destructive impact of the pandemic on tourism and the economy, when many other developers have frozen the development of hotels. Whereas I Asset Management is taking this time as an opportunity to overtake competitors and be ahead when life returns to normal.

“We are building the first international brand hotel near Riga Airport. The project is an investment in the region – there are no known-brand hotels in the vicinity of Riga Airport, which is why competition is small, whereas the potential is huge. Riga International Airport serves almost half of all the passengers in the Baltic region, and is planning to become an important junction in the entire Northern region. Moreover, a new railway station will be opened here in 2026 within the Rail Baltica project, thus creating the first high-speed railway and air transport junction in the Baltics. These considerations and the demand for a hotel in the area are so strong that not even the pandemic stopped us from starting construction works,” explains I Asset Management representative, Airport Hotels Fund investment director Laurynas Antropikas.

Hampton by Hilton is one of the best-known hotel brands. The hotel is operating under this name in 119 countries all over the world, and more than 100 million people have registered with its loyalty programme. The first hotel of this brand was opened in 1959 in San Francisco.

AS Bigbank is an Estonian bank specialising in consumption credit and corporate loans, as well as in providing profitable term deposit services. The company expanded its activities outside Estonia, establishing branches in Finland, Sweden, Latvia and Lithuania, as well as offering cross-border services in Austria, Germany and the Netherlands. The company is led by Martins Lants, a Board Member of the Group. Svens Raba, Marts Veskimagi and Argo Kiltsmans are also Members of the Board.

Taking inspiration from its Mediterranean surroundings, the hotel is a unique retreat for those looking to explore the medieval neighbourhood and the town’s coastline.

Hotel Indigo French Riviera

Just as no two neighbourhoods are alike, no two Hotel Indigo hotels are alike. Hotel Indigo French Riviera, opens in Cagnes-sur-Mer. The hotel has 87 guest rooms all designed to mimic the neighbourhood in which it is situated, with a blue and white theme to help create a truly relaxing seaside retreat for guests. Guests staying at the hotel will also get the opportunity to take a piece of the neighbourhood home with them, whether that be a selection of the amenities from L’Atelier de la Maison Jaune, a locally crafted natural cosmetics brand made in Nice or a beautiful French Riviera Girls scarf that forms part of the uniform at the hotel.

Known for being a popular destination for well-known artists including Renoir, Chaïm Soutine, and Yves Klein, and the inspiration for many famous paintings, Cagnes-sur-Mer is often referred to as the ‘Montmartre of the French Riviera’. The town is a 15-minute drive from Nice Côte d’Azur Airport, quietly nestled between the shores of the Mediterranean Sea and beautiful hills lined with olive and cypress trees. Situated between the resorts of Cannes and Nice along the Côte d’Azur, this unassuming town has a rich history and stunning landscape to charm its visitors. From the medieval castle to the fascinating Renoir Museum, the 19th-century fishing village and the restaurant-lined coastal boulevard, Promenade de la Plage, there is plenty on offer for those looking to indulge in a slice of French culture.

As guests enter Hotel Indigo Cagnes-sur-Mer, they will be met with an array of light turquoise hues that contrast with rich darker blues to reflect the unique shades of the sea and the endless skies which the Riviera is known for. The soft furnishings throughout the hotel’s public areas continue to evoke a nautical feel, with decorative rugs that feature waved patterns, the use of soft curved edges, and light fittings which mimic the waves that lap up against the coastline. Nodding to the destination’s link to notable French artists, the artwork that can be seen throughout the hotel has been specially curated, partnering with local talent. Thanks to a partnership with Eric Garence, the Cote d’Azur ambassador and poster designer, guests can send home a one-of-a-kind postcard to family and friends.

Laurence Lovera, General Manager, Hotel Indigo Cagnes-sur-Mer, commented: “We are extremely happy to have opened the doors to our wonderful hotel. Cagnes-sur-Mer is a truly unique retreat and has so much to offer those looking to explore an undiscovered neighbourhood of the French Riviera. Hotel Indigo was the perfect brand to open here, and we are looking forward to creating an experience for guests that is truly unique to the local neighbourhood.”

Hotel Indigo Belgrade – opens 1st hotel in Serbia

hotel news

blank

blank

blank

blank

November 11, 2021 – Hotel Indigo, IHG Hotels & Resorts’ boutique hotel brand, has opened its first hotel in Serbia, Hotel Indigo Belgrade. True to the brand’s ethos, Hotel Indigo Belgrade takes its design cues from the local neighbourhood and pays homage to the city’s storied past.

Hotel Indigo Belgrade

The capital city of Serbia is home to a brilliantly diverse blend of cultures and architectural styles, with a fascinating history stretching back for millennia, and Belgrade is increasingly gaining popularity amongst a new generation of visitors. As the meeting point of two rivers, the Sava and the Danube, Belgrade was a highly connected crossroad between east and west Europe, used by traders, missionaries, tourists, ambassadors, and craftsmen who made their way through the continent by boat. Disembarking in the capital, travellers from various empires including the Romans, the Goths, the Huns, the Ottomans, and the Austro-Hungarians often left their own particular imprint on the city. These impressions can be experienced through local attractions such as the Belgrade Fortress, a historic complex comprising of the old citadel and Kalemegdan Park where visitors can gaze over the confluence of the two rivers.

Just as no two neighbourhoods are alike, no two Hotel Indigo hotels are alike. Like its Old Town surroundings Hotel Indigo Belgrade’s architecture showcases the mishmash of cultures and styles born from the city’s fascinating history. Centrally located in the main pedestrian area, between Kneza Mihailova and Čika Ljubina streets, sitting above luxury retail stores, the hotel has 46 boutique bedrooms with two distinctive room styles to choose from. Drawing inspiration from the Brutalist architecture that is very apparent in Belgrade, the hotel’s Brutalism-inspired room style has concrete walls contrasted with unique artwork and textiles with unusual geometric shapes. The Art Deco room was designed to evoke the Art Deco period of the city with the use of muted pastel colours and arches in the headboard to mimic the design influence of this prominent era.

Upon entering the hotel, guests will be greeted by an eye-catching reception, which has been specially designed to mimic the shape of a local monument, Knez Mihailo, with locally made Serbian rugs hanging above. The use of gold throughout the lobby, reception area and lift is inspired by the nearby National Museum which was originally built as a bank. If guests look closely, the walls of the lift are covered in hidden poems by some of the nation’s most famous poets. The hotel’s living room pays homage to the coming together of trade routes with an eclectic mix of styles through the ages, from Pirot rugs, a national treasure from Southern Serbia, to 70’s inspired floor lamps. Throughout the hotel, the artwork is inspired from the local and vibrant creative art scene in the city.

Veljko Antonić, General Manager, Hotel Indigo Belgrade, commented on the opening: “This hotel is a stunning representation of Belgrade and the Hotel Indigo brand. The city has so much to offer those looking to discover a new destination and with our unique design and thoughtful touches inspired by the local history and surrounding influences, guests can get a flavour of the neighbourhood through our hotel before heading off to explore the city for themselves.”

Hotel Indigo has unique restaurants and bars that are standout social destinations where guests and locals dine together, and the hotel’s Duke Restaurant is no different. The restaurant brings a modern twist on traditional Serbian cuisine by combining age-old recipes and unique Serbian spices with locally sourced ingredients and a modern twist.

Hotel Indigo, the world’s largest boutique hotel brand, has 129 hotels globally, with another 116 set to open in the coming years*. A selection of openings are coming up towards the end of 2021 including Hotel Indigo Vancouver-Downtown, Washington, Hotel Indigo Flushing, New York and Hotel Indigo New Orleans French Quarter in the US. Openings in 2022 include Hotel Indigo Karuizawa and Hotel Indigo Inuyama Urakuen Garden in Japan, Hotel Indigo Brisbane in Australia, Hotel Indigo Galapagos in Ecuador and Hotel Indigo Vienna, Austria.

As an IHG hotel, guests can be reassured that cleanliness is top of mind throughout each step of their stay. The company’s longstanding commitment to rigorous cleaning procedures has been enhanced with the IHG Way of Clean programme developed with Ecolab and Diversey, both world leaders in hygiene and cleaning technologies. As part of the IHG family of brands, Hotel Indigo Belgrade offers guests additional peace of mind with the IHG Clean Promise.

Prices start from €127 a night for a standard room and IHG Rewards members will receive exclusive member rates and save more when they book direct at ihg.com.

November 11, 2021  – Relais & Chateaux collection – Nine new members joined

From secluded hotels at the heart of their local communities to gourmet restaurants that strictly champion local, seasonal produce, these nine new members – from across Europe and in Canada – join the Relais & Chateaux collection network.

Relais & Chateaux collection

Dyvig Badehotel — Nordborg, Denmark
The Dyvig Badehotel stands between lush countryside and the Baltic Sea on the island of Als in southern Denmark. The delight of this small hotel – featuring just 17 rooms and 4 suites – is bound up with the tranquility of its waterside location. This is a place to escape from the bustle of life and, perhaps, time itself. The chef, Christian Lebech, concocts seasonal menus for the gourmet restaurant highlighting local produce, in particular seafood. The hotel’s brasserie offers typically Danish specialties, such as the stjerneskud, or ‘shooting star’ open sandwich.

Thornbury Castle — Gloucestershire, England
To defy Henry VIII: such was the ambition of Edward Stafford, Duke of Buckingham, who had Thornbury Castle built in the southwest of England, not far from Gloucester. This imposing mansion is a glorious example of Tudor architecture, and its proud silhouette asserts a nearly original appearance. Massive yet private, welcoming yet filled with history, the establishment is an invitation to enjoy serenity with a taste of British heritage, in rooms worthy of the royal family itself. Chef Carl Cleghorn prepares vegetables from the castle’s own gardens and sources produce from local farms, offering a menu of traditional dishes and vegetarian options.

Ballynahinch Castle — Connemara, Ireland
With a low mountain range as a backdrop, verdant forests nestling all around, and the calm waters of River Owenmore flowing below, Ballynahinch Castle is as pretty as a postcard. Located in western Ireland, this castle achieves the prodigious feat of being both majestic and welcoming, sophisticated yet simple. The wide bow windows of its cozy rooms offer views of the Irish countryside like landscape paintings. The chef, David Bodas Gutierrez, combines his understanding of traditional cookery with his knowledge as a nutritionist, demonstrating at every turn that gourmet cuisine can also be wonderfully balanced.

Aïda Hotel & Spa — Crans-Montana, Switzerland
Visitors of this hotel – reserved for adults – will discover a prestigious chalet of 18 recently renovated and spacious suites offering breathtaking views over the Swiss Alps and the ski resort of Crans-Montana. The spa is also striking for its wide-open spaces: it offers 300 m2 / 3229 ft2 of well-being, ideal after a day of hiking or skiing. Michelin star-rated chef Franck Reynaud adores his region, and brings out the best of its traditional flavors through his cep puddings and truffled potato purées, among many other specialities. Opening scheduled for December 2021.

Maison Décotterd — Montreux, Switzerland
At the heart of the Swiss Riviera, this gourmet restaurant is located in the former Bellevue hotel, at the heart of the prestigious Glion catering school. It offers a sublime panorama over Lake Geneva and the Alps in a Belle Époque atmosphere in keeping with the magnificent style of the building. With two Michelin stars, chef Stéphane Décotterd has been committed to sourcing wholly local ingredients since 2018. Each morning he sets out to gather fresh herbs to flavor pike, tench and char as part of an approach to cookery that he describes as “resolutely responsible and bold, but never fixed, just like the waters of the lake which so inspire me.”

Discover Maison Décotterd

Brindos Lac & Château — Anglet, France
Just a few minutes from Biarritz Airport, Château de Brindos has been recently renovated and is scheduled to reopen in the spring of 2022. From its reception spaces to each of its 29 rooms and suites, it proudly reasserts its Spanish and Moorish identity and upholds the festive atmosphere that the spot has cultivated since its earliest beginnings. The private 12-ha / 30-acre lake is not only perfect for contemplation: it also accommodates ten floating suites, each a dreamy refuge. Two swimming pools – one indoor and one outdoor – and a vast spa complete the picture. The restaurant features Basque cuisine, cheese and wine, as well as fresh produce from the Atlantic coast.

Stonehaven Le Manoir — Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts, Canada
This is the Canada of your dreams, where forests merge with lakes: the Stonehaven is a bastion of elegance at the heart of the Laurentides. Founded in 1908, the hotel was recently renovated to highlight the Art Deco spirit of its early years. Its Italian garden is one of the crown jewels of Quebec, and each of its 34 spacious yet cozy rooms are equally idyllic. In the restaurant, French chef Éric Gonzalez combines fresh, local products with the classic specialties of his native country. Experience a moment suspended in time at the heart of one of the most spectacular regions of La Belle Province.

Alex Lake Zürich — Zürich, Switzerland
This hotel offers an incomparable view over Lake Zurich, and indeed seems to float on the water. Its 42 suites and two penthouses are beautifully light-filled, with wide picture windows and elegant, streamlined interior design in light colors. In the restaurant, chef Tino Staub seeks to bring as many ingredients as possible “from the farm to the table,” combining foods cultivated within the hotel’s kitchen garden with flavors from around the world. A member of the Swiss group The Living Circle, like the Relais & Châteaux establishment Castello del Sole Beach Resort & Spa in Ascona, Hotel Alex Lake respects nature with its ecological approach and aims to eliminate all use of plastic by 2023.

Restaurant Saisons — Lyon, France
At the heart of a century-old park in western Lyon, Château du Vivier is home to Restaurant Saisons. The establishment is a showcase for Institut Paul Bocuse, a prestigious international school for hotel management and the culinary arts. The talented young team of Saisons is led by three-star chef Florian Pansin, alongside the Meilleur Sommelier de France Gaëtan Bouvier, and the Meilleur Ouvrier de France Davy Tissot, winner of the 2021 Bocuse d’or. They pass along their expertise and enthusiasm by cultivating the talents of tomorrow, across 70 different nationalities. Together they offer a touching culinary experience: the ingredients of the moment – as the restaurant’s name suggests – are selected from the best local farmers or the restaurant’s kitchen garden, and accompanied by exceptional vintages to thrill gourmets seeking a combination of tradition and modernity.

Hilton Odessa – Announces Plans for a Stunning Beach Resort Hotel in the Ukraine

November 10, 2021 –  Hilton (NYSE: HLT) has signed a franchise agreement with Gefest Group, one of the largest real estate developers in the Odessa region, to build a new 145-room resort on the beachfront in the popular port city of Odessa, Ukraine. The hotel, due to open in spring 2025, will be managed by Cyprus based Millennium Hospitality and located near the famous Arcadia entertainment area.

Hilton Odessa

Patrick Fitzgibbon, senior vice president, development, EMEA, Hilton said, “There is clear opportunity for growth in Ukraine, with two hotels set to join our portfolio alongside Hilton Kyiv. Growing international interest in Odessa and robust domestic demand make Hilton Odessa an important addition to our European pipeline. We are pleased to be working with Gefest Group to introduce our flagship brand to southern Ukraine.”

Pantelis Boumbouras, founder & president of Gefest Group said, “We are excited to announce our new development in Odessa, working with Hilton to bring an impressive resort that will appeal to both domestic and international travellers. With our experience in developing hotels and real estate in Odessa and a partnership with a global brand such as Hilton, we look forward to welcoming guests to Hilton Odessa.”

Vasilis Boumbouras, CEO of Gefest Group said, “Our company is a leader in commercial and residential construction in the region and we strive for innovation and green designs in our buildings. We are aiming to develop one of the best Hilton hotels in the world, both in terms of ambiance and in the quality of materials used. We pay attention to the finest details which will make the guest’s experience unique and memorable.”

In recent years Odessa has led the charge for Ukraine’s growing tourism industry. Domestic travellers from Ukraine, as well as international visitors from Europe, North America and Central Asia choose the port city of Odessa for its 19th century architecture, energetic culture and stunning Black Sea beaches.  As the largest trade centre in the Commonwealth of Independent States, Odessa’s position as a commercial hub means that business travel is also a key driver for growth in the city.

Spread across two buildings, décor for the hotel and its guest rooms will take inspiration from the natural environment, bringing the neutral sandy tones and rugged textures from Odessa’s beautiful coastline to the hotel’s interiors.  With two swimming pools — one indoor and one rooftop pool — offering stunning views overlooking the coast, the new build hotel will also provide direct access to Odessa’s fine sandy beaches. Guests will be able to choose from four restaurants and bars, two of which will be situated on the beachfront. The hotel will also feature an entire floor dedicated as a conference centre with an approximate total area of 800m2 including a 300m2 ballroom, an executive floor with an executive lounge on the rooftop and 600m2 wellness centre with a heated pool, gym, beauty salon and other leisure facilities.

Hilton Odessa will be located a short walk from the popular resort area of Arcadia, home to Arcadia Beach and its entertainment complex with many restaurants, bars and nightclubs. Further north along the coast, visitors will find the Botanical Garden of The Odessa State University, and several pristine beaches along the Black Sea coast, which are easily accessible through the city’s health route, which originates near the city centre and continues for over 15km along the coast, beyond the location of Hilton Odessa.  The city centre is less than 15 minutes from the hotel by car at a distance of just 6km, where travellers can see the world-famous Potemkin Stairs and Vorontsov Lighthouse.

Hilton Odessa joins a growing portfolio of hotels in the Ukraine, including Hilton Kyiv. Hilton Odessa will be part of the award-winning Hilton Honors guest loyalty programme, allowing more than 118 million members who book directly with Hilton to earn Points for hotel stays and experiences, plus instant benefits including contactless check-in with room selection, Digital Key and Connected Room.

The hotel will be located at Vannyi Lane and will also have a seafront building on Primorskyi Lane. It joins more than 140 Hilton Hotels & Resorts properties trading or under development across Europe.

Sustainability news hotels

In a unique cooperation between the World Travel & Tourism Council, the Sustainable Hospitality Alliance and leading hotel companies, in consultation with distribution partners and key Tourism & Travel stakeholders, the hotel industry celebrates a responsible return to business with an initiative to raise the global basic level of hotel sustainability in a clear and transparent manner for all travelers and stakeholders.

The Basic Sustainability framework will critically deliver on a common starting point for hotel sustainability accessible to all hotel actors worldwide– whether they are part of large international Group or independents. Providing this common understanding for all hotels worldwide with actions that have a positive impact on planet and people will drive real change by stimulating the demand for responsible travel.

The Basic Sustainability framework reinforces and works in complement to the Sustainable Hospitality Alliance’s Pathway to Net Positive Hospitality, which aims to enable every hotel to improve their impact, whatever their starting point on their sustainability journey. and will encompass four clear stages and practical tools that guide the industry towards a regenerative impact on our planet.

In the coming months, the hotel groups joint in this initiative, will work in close alignment with the WTTC, the Sustainable Hospitality Alliance and key stakeholders, on finalizing the essential sustainability actions with demonstrable positive impact, and collaborate to share tools and best practices with each other and the wider industry to ensure all hotels start on a pathway towards the targets of the COP 21 Paris Accord.

The sustainability basic framework is aligned with main aspirations such as the UNWTO Glasgow Declaration and the UNSDG’s decade of action.

This will move us at Radisson Hotel Group, together with our owners Jin Jiang International, and the whole industry closer towards the ultimate target of Net Zero and, at the same time responds to our clients’ demand for sustainable travel options that are easy to understand.” – Federico J. Warner Bros hotel

November 11 is the opening date set for The WB Abu Dhabi, operated by Hilton under the Curio Collection brand.

The 257-room hotel is located directly opposite Warner Bros World Abu Dhabi theme park on Yas Island, the world’s largest indoor theme park. Guests checking in to the new hotel can expect to see their favourite stories and characters from Warner Bros brought to life via a journey through film and television that starts from the moment they arrive. The WB Abu Dhabi hotel will welcome guests with digital screens spanning the height of the eight-storey building, playing original content created for the hotel.

A Friends fountain inspired by the hit sitcom will be the first thing visitors pass on their way to the hotel lobby, which is filled with curated artwork, props and costumes from Warner Bros films and TV shows.

Guests should keep an eye out for some of their favourite characters such as Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck who are likely to be spotted during a stay at the Warner Bros hotel.

Each of the rooms has unique elements, including artwork inspired by three themes. The first theme, “From Script to Screen”, highlights standout moments from Warner Bros’ films and shows. The second theme, “Artist Confidential”, celebrates a variety of talent in front of and behind the camera in some of Warner Bros’ favourite productions. The third theme, “The Vault”, will depict some rarely seen images from the company’s most memorable archives.

The WB Abu Dhabi will also have five restaurants, including Sidekicks, The Director’s Club and The Overlook, a lounge with an infinity pool and 360-degree views over the island, theme park and the Arabian Gulf.

Little touches such as the piano from Westworld playing a familiar tune as guests dine, or children being able to call their favourite Looney Tunes characters for room service treats that will be delivered by Bugs Bunny, make this hotel something special.

“Opening the doors to the first-ever Warner Bros branded hotel is a moment that we have long dreamt of, and it’s truly magnificent,” said Pam Lifford, president of WarnerMedia Global Brands and Experiences. “The Warner Bros Themed Entertainment team and our incredible partners at Miral and Hilton, designed this with fans in mind and have curated an outstanding hospitality experience that gives guests from around the world a unique way to further connect with the iconic Warner Bros brands, franchises and characters they love.”

As well as being within walking distance of Warner Bros World Abu Dhabi, the hotel has plenty of other leisure facilities for guests to enjoy.

There’s a family pool area, a children’s club, a high-tech fitness centre and a spa, which will be the ideal place to unwind after a day exploring the six immersive lands at Warner Bros World Abu Dhabi.

The WB hotel will also have The Prop Shop, where guests can purchase a souvenir from a collection of artworks and props, to take home a little piece of Warner Bros history.
