airBaltic Adds Exciting New Routes to Winter 2025 Schedule

airBaltic Adds Exciting New Routes to Winter 2025 Schedule

Latvian carrier airBaltic is turning up the heat for the Winter 2025 season—and no, we don’t mean the in-flight coffee. From seaside getaways in Portugal to snowy slopes in the Alps, the airline has unveiled a robust winter schedule that brings three new routes, increased flight frequencies, and continued service to some of Europe’s most sought-after destinations.

Running from late October 2025 through late March 2026, the winter program offers sunseekers, snow lovers, and city hoppers plenty to get excited about—even if the temperatures outside say otherwise.

New Winter Routes: Sunshine, Slopes, and Surprise Pairings

Let’s start with the newcomers. airBaltic is rolling out three brand-new routes to warm up your winter:

Riga – Faro (Portugal)
Start date: September 6, 2025 | Once weekly
Swap the snow for Algarve’s Atlantic breeze. This new route connects Latvia’s capital with Portugal’s sun-kissed southern coast just as the Baltic weather starts getting serious about frostbite.

Gran Canaria – Ljubljana (Slovenia)
Start date: October 25, 2025 | Once weekly
This one’s a wildcard—and a welcome one. Linking the Canary Islands with Slovenia’s charming capital, it’s perfect for travelers wanting to escape island life or spice up their winter with a little Adriatic flair.

Tallinn – Madeira (Portugal)
Start date: October 26, 2025 | Once weekly
Estonia meets the eternal spring of Madeira. Expect floral walks, mountain views, and a climate that makes you forget what month it is.

All three routes will be served weekly, offering both Economy and Business options—because sometimes you want a good deal, and sometimes you want a glass of bubbly at 30,000 feet.

Amsterdam, Amplified

It’s not just new destinations getting attention. airBaltic is also beefing up connections to major European hubs—most notably Amsterdam. The airline will now offer a whopping 19 flights per week from Riga, and 14 weekly flights each from Tallinn and Vilnius. That’s nearly three flights a day, giving Baltic travelers serious flexibility (and more opportunities to accidentally spend €40 on stroopwafels).

Dubai Dreaming

As temperatures in Northern Europe drop, interest in sunny escapes soars—and airBaltic is clearly listening. Daily flights from Riga to Dubai will keep the connection hot, while Vilnius to Dubai will see its service double to four times per week. Whether you’re heading for high-end shopping, desert adventures, or just a reliably warm beach, Dubai’s got you covered—and now more often than ever.

Summer Routes, Reimagined

Who says summer has to end in August? airBaltic is extending several sunny routes into the winter months:

  • Riga to Pisa and Porto will continue through November, letting you squeeze in a bit more gelato or port wine before winter hits.
  • Riga to Catania (Sicily) will also resume earlier than usual, now returning to the skies in March 2026, perfect for an early spring escape to Italian island life.

Egypt Escapes and Irish Returns

If pyramids and Red Sea snorkeling are on your wishlist, you’re in luck. airBaltic is increasing winter service to Egypt, with three weekly flights each to Sharm El-Sheikh and Hurghada from Riga.

Meanwhile, the popular Riga–Dublin route is making a winter comeback, offering two weekly flights, reconnecting Baltic travelers with the Irish capital—and maybe a proper pint of Guinness.

Snowbound? Sorted.

Ski bums and snowboarders, rejoice. airBaltic has made sure you’re covered with easy access to Europe’s top winter sports destinations. From Innsbruck and Salzburg to Geneva, Verona, and Kittilä, hitting the slopes is as easy as buckling your boots and boarding your flight.

A Winter to Remember

Whether you’re chasing sun, snow, or something in between, airBaltic’s Winter 2025 schedule brings together a smart mix of new destinations, expanded service, and extended seasonal favorites. With thoughtful connections across the Baltics, Southern Europe, and beyond, the airline is making it easier than ever to swap grey skies for great adventures.

So, go ahead—book the trip. Your winter story is about to get a whole lot warmer (or chillier, if that’s your thing).
