August 11, 2022 –

Radisson Resort Plaza Skiathos is located on the beautiful south coast of Skiathos, overlooking the Aegean Sea and Kanapitsa beach. Skiathos, the westernmost of the Sporades islands, is known for its stunning coastline of more than 60 beaches with soft sand and clear blue waters, as well as sea caves, impressive rock formations, and hiking trails on the tree-covered hills along the north shore made famous as the location for the filming of Mamma Mia. The island’s Byzantine churches and monasteries, Venetian-style Bourtzi fortress, and Papadiamantis House with its typical architecture are important parts of the island’s rich history.

W Costa Navarino

W Costa Navarino brings style, originality, and vibrant energy to the Mediterranean

W Costa Navarino

W Costa Navarino brings style, originality, and vibrant energy to the Mediterranean

August 10, 2022 –

W Hotels, part of Marriott Bonvoy’s portfolio of 30 extraordinary hotel brands, today announced the opening of W Costa Navarino. The highly anticipated debut of this Greek retreat brings a vibrant and creative energy to the Navarino Waterfront, the newest integrated resort area of Costa Navarino in the Mediterranean. The new W Escape is set within a scenic 32-acre site along a sandy beach, stretching along 1,500 feet of shoreline, and overlooking the protected and historic Bay of Navarino. Exclusively welcoming adults and young adults over 12 years old, W Costa Navarino introduces a place that fosters creativity, individuality, and freedom of expression.

W Costa Navarino

“Set against the unparalleled beauty of the Mediterranean, we are thrilled to introduce W Hotels to Greece with the opening of W Costa Navarino,” says Benoit Racle, Vice President, Brand Management, W Hotels Worldwide. “From upcycling materials to a bioclimatic design, W Costa Navarino features sophisticated architecture that leans into the broader sustainability efforts of the coastal enclave, presenting international travelers and local tastemakers an opportunity to capture the energy of Mediterranean culture. World-class dining and immersive programming celebrate authentic Mediterranean culture, promising an unforgettable, one-of-a-kind experience at W Costa Navarino.”

Local Authenticity Meets Modernity in Refined Design
With architectural design led by renowned Greek architects Tombazis and Associates, W Costa Navarino takes inspiration from the region’s traditional architecture with cobbled paths, monolithic building and stone towers creating the feeling of a Greek coastal village. Using local materials, Costa Navarino’s dedication to sustainable practices is reflected in the hotel’s timeless design, unified within lush indigenous greenery and planted roofs overlooking the sea.

All guestroom, suite, and villa interiors celebrate the heritage of Greek artisans with a palette of neutral tones which are occasionally met with pops of color. Infused with the unexpected, thoughtful design elements of W Hotels, the interior design across the resort including the public areas and the culinary square – Platía – was led by London-based and globally focused studio MKV Design. Modern yet refined interpretations of traditional craftsmanship can be seen through the lighting and flooring, referencing the time-honored Greek basket weavers and leather chairs that offer a contemporary interpretation of regional saddler’s art.

The unique architectural design of the destination beach club Parelía as well as the Platía, were designed by Tombazis and Athens-based K-Studio, with the latter also leading interiors at Parelía. Moreover, the interior design at the sunset restaurant and bar, Between was created by Interior Design Laboratorium. Inspired by the local area and Greek heritage, the custom-designed W totem was crafted with reclaimed wood collected from old fishing boats, representing the notion of seafaring.

Setting the Tone, a Music and Artistic Hub
The passionate personality of W Hotels comes to life through the artistic and musical edge across the lush grounds. With its original music programming, guests at W Costa Navarino can enjoy a diverse, genre-defying programme including funky house, hot disco, afro-house, tribal and neo-soul. The Escape is set to host international and local DJs and musicians each season such as Alex Nude and Valeron & Band, to complement its roster of resident DJs including Ukrainian Rie Kiriiaka, Greek-Colombian DJ Montana Cruz and Greece’s own Vasilis Georgakopoulos.

W Costa Navarino ignites curiosity with contemporary art throughout the hotel, intended to provoke conversation among guests. The artwork curation is led by visual artist and curator Poka-Yio and a team of young artists by the Athens School of Fine Arts LAB12. It is closely linked to notions of inclusiveness and culture, aiming to have a deeper purpose and act as a means to explore and escape, surprise and challenge and ultimately contribute to what W Costa Navarino represents – a different hospitality experience.

Beach Front Dining and Mixology
W Costa Navarino is home to a number of culinary points, ensuring that – whatever the mood and whatever the hour – guests will have something that promises to please the palate.

W Lounge, at the heart of the Escape, offers a globally inspired menu alongside a range of palate cleansing spritzers, aperitifs and locally inspired, eco-conscious cocktails. Open all day, W Lounge is the perfect spot to dine, relax and take in the surrounding natural beauty and awe-inspiring sunsets.

Platía is a playful spin on the traditional Greek food market and is a destination for breakfast, daytime coffees, or a relaxed group dinner in the evening. The space evokes the informal buzz and energy of a marketplace with four separate “grab & go” outlets. The Café celebrates coffee culture with daily ground coffee selection and a roastery serving all specialty varieties, in addition to fresh juices and snacks throughout the day. For light bites and local delicacies, the Deli Store offers a selection of cold cuts of meat, cheese and regional specialities; the Bakery serves home-made daily baked indulgences, while the Cookery presents an open-style kitchen for morning breakfast and plays host to visiting chefs and pop-up concepts.

With a menu concept based on raw food, Between will offer cocktails and light dinner bites that celebrate the purity of flavor and aroma found in the natural form of ingredients – including oysters, clams, and premium caviar. Accompanied by live DJ sets and a cocktail menu focused on seasonality and simplicity, the aptly named Between will be the ideal setting for sipping a craft cocktail as the sun dips below the horizon.

The destination beach club is set to be the social hot spot of W Costa Navarino. Its name Parelía’s combines the Greek word ‘parea’, meaning friends socialising, with ‘paralia’, meaning beach. Created to encourage spontaneous moments of fun, the beach club will serve contemporary Greek Mediterranean cuisine, focusing on delectable sharing dishes accompanied by unexpected cocktail collisions. With DJs playing a mix of genres from Electro House to NuJazz and Fusion and live music throughout the day, Parelía naturally evolves from a casual beach mood for swimming and unwinding, to a high-energy venue for late night fun, dancing and partying by the sea.

Fit by the Sea
The WET Deck features a breath-taking infinity pool with views across the crystalline Ionian Sea and beyond, along with plenty of space to relax in the sun after a swim.

The AWAY® Spa offers an extensive menu of treatments to balance guests’ energy while FIT gym has a 25-meter outdoor heated swimming pool and the latest gym equipment for guests wanting to maintain their fitness routine at leisure. W Costa Navarino will also offer a programme of workout classes and wellness experiences designed for any fitness level, including beach boot camp classes, “Kalimera” yoga sessions, “5 Rhythms” dance movement meditation practice and beach power Pilates.

“W Costa Navarino celebrates a unique blend of energies immersed in a naturally beautiful setting. The new vibrant resort combines traditional elements from the Messinian culture with the unmistakable character and unique vibe for which W Hotels are known. From the thoughtfully refined and locally inspired design, with a strong focus on art to, diverse and energetic programming, W Costa Navarino is ready to make a mark in the Mediterranean hospitality scene,” said Nassos Papazoglou, General Manager of W Costa Navarino.

JetBlue Boston to London service

August 8, 2022 –

JetBlue has announced it has officially launched service from Boston’s Logan International Airport (BOS) to London’s Gatwick Airport (LGW). JetBlue’s daily nonstop service is part of the airline’s focus city strategy and its long-term transatlantic growth plans. London was the largest nonstop market not currently served by JetBlue from Boston and is among the most requested destinations from the airline’s large Boston customer base.

JetBlue Boston to London service

Last year, JetBlue launched its first-ever transatlantic service from New York-JFK to both Heathrow and Gatwick, London’s largest and busiest airports. The carrier plans to grow its transatlantic presence this year with new service from Boston Logan to London’s Heathrow Airport, launching September 20, 2022, and an additional Gatwick departure from New York starting October 29, 2022. Between JetBlue’s New York and Boston focus cities, the airline will offer five daily flights between the U.S. and the U.K. by October. JetBlue Boston to London service

“Our London service from New York has been an incredible success and we are thrilled to finally bring this highly anticipated service to our Boston customers, a route that has long suffered from high fares by legacy carriers,” said Robin Hayes, chief executive officer, JetBlue. “As Boston’s largest carrier, adding this nonstop service to Gatwick will only make us more relevant in our New England focus city and introduce JetBlue to a largely unserved market.”

“We are excited to welcome JetBlue’s first transatlantic service from Boston to London Gatwick,” said Massport CEO, Lisa Wieland. “We thank JetBlue for their continued partnership, and we look forward to the additional travel opportunities this will generate for our passengers.”

“We are thrilled that JetBlue is launching nonstop service between London and Boston. Visitors from the United Kingdom represent our top overseas source market,” said Martha Sheridan, Greater Boston CVB President & CEO. “Rebuilding this segment will be critical to the overall recovery of our visitor economy. We share many historical and cultural bonds with the UK and are so excited that JetBlue is investing in this route, which will surely be a great success!”

“We are delighted to welcome the launch of JetBlue’s new service between Boston and London. Demand for travel to the UK has returned to pre-pandemic levels, and the additional connectivity from Boston, a vital US market, will make it even easier for Americans looking to book their next trip over. As we head into the beautiful Autumn season, whether visitors are returning or discovering the UK for the first time, now is the perfect time to explore another side of Britain, filled with buzzing cities, exciting outdoor adventures, and iconic landmarks with a modern twist,” said Paul Gauger, VisitBritain’s Senior Vice President for the Americas.

Relais Chateaux 9 new members

Relais Chateaux 9 new members

Relais Chateaux 9 new members

August 8, 2022 – Relais Chateaux 9 new members!

Properties that respect the local environment and the communities that surround them, with kitchens responsibly sourcing every product: nine new members join the Relais & Châteaux family.

Relais Chateaux 9 new members:

Aramburu, Buenos Aires, Argentina
After honing his skills with the greatest, Chef Gonzalo Aramburu opened his restaurant in 2019 in one of the most picturesque passages of Recoleta, a chic district of Buenos Aires with beautiful 19th- and early 20th-century architecture.

The decor’s sophisticated dark hues and subdued lighting serve to highlight the vibrancy of the  restaurant. At its heart is a renowned 20-course tasting menu, served amid the dynamism of the open kitchen, showcasing locally-sourced and seasonal products paired with remarkable Argentine wines. To be a proud ambassador of his country’s culinary excellence and its vineyards: this is the calling of Gonzalo Aramburu.

 Huniik, Merida, Yucatan, Mexico
Self-taught chef Roberto Solís is a fervent advocate of the cuisine of his native region of Yucatán, which has its roots in the Mayan civilization. His mission: to promote Mexican gastronomy and offer diners a warm and generous experience.

He opened Huniik in partnership with a renowned Cuban designer, Jorge Pardo, who conceived a decorative style inspired by traditional Mexican icons to complement the chef’s cuisine. The restaurant operates a zero-waste policy – an important part of Chef Solís’s philosophy. He highlights small producers of the peninsula, and serves only seasonal and emblematic products of the region, such as corn, picked daily.

By consciously highlighting the riches of the land and the labors of the region’s farmers, the property’s approach is entirely in line with the commitments of Relais & Châteaux.

Mélisse, Los Angeles, California, USA
Having been raised in Santa Monica and Venice Beach by a caterer mother and a French grandmother who loved to cook, it was perhaps inevitable that Josiah Citrin’s vocation would be in the culinary realm.

Today, with Mélisse now a Michelin two-star restaurant, Chef Citrin continues his quest for excellence by offering guests an exclusive gastronomic immersion amid decor created by local artisans.

With just five tables, fourteen guests can enjoy a unique, hosted dining experience: a nine-course tasting menu in which creativity is at the heart of the occasion, a reinvention of food and wine pairings, with products sourced from farmers in the Napa Valley, and a soundtrack drawn from his personal vinyl collection.

La Scène, Paris, France
A story of passion and family: this beautiful epicurean address, in the renowned Matignon district, has won two stars in the Michelin Guide just four months after opening.

Its chef and owner, Stéphanie Le Quellec, is a woman of character, leading a team that offers a concise French menu based on local products that move her. It pays tribute to artisans, producers and the value of ‘responsible’ cooking: these are her foundations.

In the heart of the chic eighth arrondissement of Paris, Stéphanie works like an innkeeper combining high gastronomy and excellence – combined with simplicity. From her open kitchen she conveys emotion as if on stage in a theater, part of a play in which she is the heroine.

Château de Maubreuil, Carquefou, France
Not far from Nantes, this five-star boutique hotel (part of Relais Chateaux 9 new members) enjoys an unparalleled history that evokes tales of exploration and anecdotes from across the centuries.

Once the home of the Marquis de Dion – a privateer shipowner, adventurer and pioneer of the French automotive industry and publisher of road maps (an activity that he transferred to Michelin) – this beautiful 17th-century residence is located in the heart of a fourteen-hectare wooded park with a permaculture vegetable garden.

Rooms here are lent evocative names: Burmese Nights, Babylon Gardens, Carnival in Venice, and so on… La Table du Marquis, its gourmet restaurant, is brilliantly led by Chef Quentin Gallouedec, who channels his Breton roots. The journey continues with a moment of well-being in the intimate Cinq Mondes spa. This romantic, authentic stopover in Pays de la Loire promises a destination vibrant with emotions.

Morukuru Family de Hoop, De Hoop, South Africa
A three-hour drive from Cape Town lies this design lodge, with five suites and a villa, in a private reserve where sandy dunes are populated with flamingo, ostrich, zebra and antelope.

It also faces the Indian Ocean where, from June to mid-October, whales can be seen on their annual migration. In its construction and operation, its owners endeavored to prioritize natural, recycled materials, and to reduce energy consumption to a minimum. In the restaurant, the native chefs favor local products and wines from the surrounding area.

The team, driven by a passion for the art of hospitality, pay great attention to detail in creating the most memorable of experiences. Many activities, including safaris, raise awareness about the protection of the environment, fauna and flora.

Central Park Voorburg, Voorburg, The Netherlands
This four-star hotel, with just fourteen suites, enjoys a privileged location in a grand residence from the 18th century, typical of the architectural constructions of the region.

Adjoining a deer park, just seven kilometers from The Hague, it is also something of a rural getaway, with the added bonus of a restaurant run by chefs Tim Bood and Hette Hettema.

Overlooking the park, they offer a creative menu featuring fresh products including fish and shellfish from the nearby coast. The mission of the new owner is to gradually transform the boutique hotel to reflect contemporary expectations, and to  meet environmental challenges while preserving quality.

Borgo Santandrea, Amalfi, Italy
Nestled in cliffs 90 meters above the sea, and overlooking an old fishing village, this five-star hotel’s 29 rooms and 16 suites offer breathtaking views of the Amalfi Coast.

Having undergone a major renovation, its owners have integrated cutting-edge technologies while drastically reducing energy costs, limiting waste and eliminating plastics.

Most of the furniture and decorative elements, such as the earthenware tiles, come from local artisans’ workshops. There is a similar approach in the kitchen, with products sourced mostly from local producers. A private beach, pool, spa, bar and restaurants add to the charm of this little gem on the Mediterranean.

Hôtel & Restaurant Purs, Andernach, Germany
(another Relais Chateaux 9 new members)

Located in the historic part of Andernach, on the left bank of the Rhine, Purs is a harmonious kind of place: harmony between the traditional architecture, the exceptional size of the new wing, and the contemporary interiors by renowned Belgian designer and antique collector Axel Vervoordt.

Harmony, too, in the courtyard garden where wildflowers bloom; and harmony of the fine dining restaurant where chef Christian Eckhardt won two stars in the Michelin Guide soon after it opened… In his kitchen, Chef Eckhardt combines regional and seasonal products to offer creative but accessible cuisine.

Iberia is finalizing its winter program 2022-2023 – which will begin on October 30 and will arrive until March 25 next year – and continues its journey in the recovery of the entire network of flights and destinations.

For this winter it has scheduled the same capacity it offered before the pandemic thanks, above all, to the relaunch of its last routes in Latin America (Brazil and Caracas), the commitment to the US and a greater deployment of flights in its short and medium radio network.

Iberia Madrid to Rio de Janeiro: Regarding Brazil, Iberia will recover its flights with Rio de Janeiro and, for this, has scheduled three frequencies a week, which means an offer of more than 36,000 seats.

Iberia has always opted for this strategic market and with the three weekly flights it gradually recovers the capacity it offered before the pandemic and reinforces its leadership in Latin America.

The increase in the operation is accompanied by a very attractive price campaign from 1,576BRL, round trip, in Turista class.

The flight schedules between Rio de Janeiro and Madrid are:

In the words of Mª. Jesús López Solás, Commercial Director, Network Development and Alliances of Iberia: “At Iberia we are convinced that for the recovery it is necessary to bet and we are committed to Brazil, one of our strategic markets in Latin America.

It is true that we have not yet recovered the capacity we offered before the pandemic, but it gives us immense joy to recover our flights with Rio de Janeiro and we continue to work with the same commitment and enthusiasm that we have shown throughout these 76 years since our first flight.”

August 5, 2022 –

Some Marriott International hotels in APAC are in scenic destinations that are ideal places for meetings, events, and conferences. The location of the hotel can enhance gatherings as it helps set the tone and ambience.

Marriott hotels are in the best positions as business travel is on the uptick. Moreover, people are extending their trips to stay to satiate their desire to travel. The portmanteau “bleisure” is exactly what it sounds like: combining business and leisure travel, which plays a significant role in post-pandemic recovery.

Bleisure trips were already popular before the pandemic and it is expected that the trend will pick up again after the pandemic due to changed work habits, a desire for longer and more immersive vacations, and go on ‘revenge travel’ to make up for the lost time during the pandemic.

Aerotel opens inside Sydney International Terminal

August 5, 2022 –

Built by airport hospitality experts Plaza Premium Group, the hotel has 15 single and double rooms that can be booked by the hour in the arrivals area of T1 International. Aerotel has just opened within Sydney Airport’s International Terminal, Australia’s busiest international hub.

Aerotel opens inside Sydney

The well-prepared traveller who needs to catch an early flight understands the travel equation: arranging a stay in an airport hotel equals early departure minus worry. The biggest advantage is proximity; the distance between Aerotel and international check-in is less than 100 metres.

The business model is significant; like all onsite airport hotels worldwide, it can be booked for blocks of time, in this case, three-hour, six-hour, and overnight stays, with variable check-in and check-out schedules. It is effectively billed based on the amount of time the space is used.

The Aerotel’s smartly built ensuite rooms for couples or singles provide bathroom amenities, bottled water, free-view TV, complimentary Wi-Fi, iron and ironing board on request, and wake-up call service.

That means convenience not only for Sydneysiders looking to beat the unpredictable morning traffic but also for interstate flying in for the same early flights which may want to avoid domestic delays and comfortably make their ex-Sydney departure by arriving at Kingsford Smith the night (or hours) before.

It’s also useful for visitors to Sydney who have checked out of their hotel, spent the day sightseeing, and want to unwind and refresh before a night-time flight.

There’s also a new Plaza Premium Lounge nearby (the Aerotel network, which now has ten hotels, is owned by global lounge operator Plaza Premium), which hotel guests can access for $25 and enjoy the food, and drink, and business amenities.

The lounge is an option for non-hotel visitors ($45), such as those arriving by plane or at the airport on land who wish to shower, change, dine, and gather their thoughts before continuing their journey.

Aerotel charges $71 for three hours, $99 for six hours, and $178 for overnight stays. A double room will set you back $88 for three hours, $115 for six hours, and $214 for an overnight stay.

The lounge is an option for non-hotel guests ($45), such as those arriving either by plane or at the airport landside who want somewhere to shower, change, eat, gather thoughts, and perhaps do some work before continuing with their journey.

A single room at Aerotel costs $71 for three hours, $99 for six hours and $178 overnight. A double room costs $88 for three hours, $115 for six hours and $214 overnight.

Silversea Cruises

Silversea Cruises unveils 2024-2025 voyage collection

Silversea Cruises

Silversea Cruises unveils 2024-2025 voyage collection

August 04, 2022 –

Silversea Cruises has unveiled its new 2024-2025 voyage collection, comprising 341 new sailings that will unlock 695 destinations in 120 countries between March 2024 and May 2025 – bringing the total number of destinations in Silversea’s portfolio to over 900. The expansive offering is the largest in the cruise line’s history, with more options for guests thanks to a 56% increase in capacity by 2024 when compared to 2020. Eleven of Silversea’s ultra-luxury ships will embark upon the new sailings, with additional voyages aboard Silver Endeavour℠to be announced soon. The 2024/2025 voyage collection includes the inaugural season of Silver Ray, which will strengthen Silversea’s commitment to sustainability when she debuts in summer 2024 as the cruise line’s second Nova-class ship. Encompassing all corners of the world, the 2024-2025 itinerary collection includes an unprecedented variety of tailor-made experiences, immersive itineraries, and 25 maiden calls to inspire travellers’ wanderlust.

Silversea Cruises

Unveiling the new voyage collection, Silversea held an exclusive virtual premiere for selected guests and travel advisors on July 28, which incorporated a high-end fashion show. The cruise line challenged six celebrated designers to express the world’s beauty through fashion, with each taking inspiration from the cultures, colours, and tastes of one region represented in the collection. Entitled ‘Colour the World,’ the innovative production was hosted by Fernando Barroso de Oliveira, Silversea’s President’s Ambassador to the Venetian Society, who presided over a catwalk-inspired journey through select destinations of the new collection. The event also featured a Q&A session with Roberto Martinoli, President and CEO, Barbara Muckermann, Chief Commercial Officer, and Conrad Combrink, SVP Expeditions, Destination and Itinerary Management, who shared their insight with curious guests and travel advisors.

“Our new voyage collection for summer 2024 and winter 2024/2025 reflects our guests’ desire for new and unique experiences in the most iconic and remote destinations around the world,” said Roberto Martinoli, President and CEO, Silversea Cruises. “Our new collection features 11 ships in our fleet – including Silver Ray,the second ship in our Nova class – with an increase in capacity of 56% by 2024 when compared to 2020; this will enable our guests to enjoy unprecedented choice in terms of ships and voyage options. Not only will these 341 new sailings immerse travellers deep into each destination, enabling even the most experienced travellers to discover lesser-visited destinations or venture off-season to rediscover the world from a new perspective, but they will also further expand Silversea’s global reach. We also look forward to revealing new itineraries for Silver Endeavour, the most luxurious ship in expedition cruising, which will further diversify our industry-leading polar offering.”

“In an industry first, we decided to reveal our new 2024/2025 itinerary collection with an exclusive fashion show,” said Barbara Muckermann, Chief Commercial Officer, Silversea Cruises. “Not unlike haute couture, in which designers create exceptional collections that excite and inspire, we chose to colour the world this year, unveiling our new itineraries by pairing featured regions with the unique interpretations of six celebrated designers to showcase the world’s rich cultures, colours, and tastes. There are parallels between travel and fashion: both encourage a deep respect for diversity, an appreciation for different cultures, and an element of self-enrichment. I am proud of the powerful message that we have conveyed, and I hope our guests find inspiration for the experiences that await.”

“Silversea has increased its industry-leading range of experiences with the launch of its largest itinerary collection to date for 2024/2025,” said Conrad Combrink, SVP Expeditions, Destination and Itinerary Management, Silversea Cruises. “With 341 itineraries unlocking both Polar Regions, the South Pacific, Africa and the Indian Ocean, the Galapagos, and so much more, Silversea has once again demonstrated its destination leadership, immersing curious travellers into the world in a way that only we can.”

The new 2024/2025 voyage collection includes the following highlights:

Radisson Vietnam

Radisson Vietnam to quadruple portfolio in 2025

Radisson Vietnam

Radisson Vietnam to quadruple portfolio in 2025

August 3, 2022 –

Radisson Hotel Group is set to realize a four-fold growth of its footprint in Vietnam by opening a dedicated representative office and significantly boosting its portfolio of properties in the country by 2025.

Radisson Vietnam

This widespread expansion plan will see the Group create inspiring options for every visitor to Vietnam, helping business and leisure travelers reach vibrant towns and cities, beautiful beachfront resorts and other scenic destinations all across the country. Furthermore, the Group’s revitalized brand architecture, which now encompasses nine distinct brands ranging from midscale to luxury, will allow Radisson Hotel Group’s partners to cater to the specific requirements of various guest segments.

Through this clear brand segmentation, Radisson Hotel Group is now ready to meet the evolving needs of today’s travelers. In the post-pandemic era, Forbes* has identified three key travel trends for 2022, including a desire for authentic local experiences, sustainable travel, and a renewed focus on family stays. In Vietnam, these factors are also being influenced by the emergence of new, unexplored destinations that create outstanding opportunities for curious travelers and forward-thinking developers.

Radisson Hotel Group’s portfolio of brands will leverage these travel trends. For example, Radisson Collection, the unique collection of iconic properties, and Radisson Individuals, the new affiliation brand that celebrates individuality, both showcase the unique characteristics of their destinations, while Radisson Blu, the memorable, stylish and purposeful upper-upscale brand, and Radisson, the flagship upscale brand promises genuine hospitality and relaxing spaces that are perfect for business and leisure travelers including families. Radisson RED has the potential to drive rapid expansion in the market, appealing to the millennial minded by delivering a playful twist on conventional hotel stays with stylish spaces and standout design.

Each of these brands offer an excellent, intuitive option for Vietnam’s diverse destinations, including its established and emerging locations. As a responsible business, the Group is committed to its corporate responsibility targets of being net-zero by 2050 and is driving eco-sensitive operations and creating sustainable experiences to help owners achieve greater efficiencies.

With a defined brand architecture with clear segmentation and a robust global network, Radisson Hotel Group can customize its development strategy and partnerships to suit the unique needs of its owners and investors, while also creating outstanding options for its guests.

This commitment to supporting the future of travel and hospitality in Vietnam is being reinforced by the launch of a Business Unit and representative office in Ho Chi Minh City. This dedicated office will offer expert on-the-ground support to owners in Vietnam, developing long-standing relationships based on trust, responsibility, and accountability.

Currently, Radisson Hotel Group operates four properties in Vietnam – Radisson Blu Resort Cam Ranh, Radisson Blu Resort Phu Quoc, Radisson Resort Phan Thiet and Radisson Hotel Danang – with six more in the pipeline. The ambitious plan to add 20 properties by 2025 is part of the Group’s strategy to tap into Vietnam’s rapidly rebounding tourism industry to craft exciting new experiences for guests.

Ramzy Fenianos, Chief Development Officer, Asia Pacific, Radisson Hotel Group, commented on the plans in Vietnam: “Vietnam is a dynamic destination that has offerings for all types of travelers. Over the past few months, the country has shown signs of continued recovery, particularly in the tourism sector, as it reopens its borders to visitors from around the world. Looking ahead, we expect visitor numbers to increase significantly in the coming months and we look forward to working with our partners to bring new experiences to life for travelers from around the region and globally.”

David Nguyen, Managing Director, Indochina and Strategic Partnerships, SE Asia & Pacific, added: “Radisson Hotel Group’s commitment to Vietnam is part of the Group’s strategic growth plans for APAC, and my team and I look forward to working with partners in Vietnam to further expand our portfolio to be ready for, and help to fuel the tourism rebound.”

Park Hyatt Milan reopens after a €20 Million Makeover

Park Hyatt Milan

Park Hyatt Milan

August 3, 2022 – Park Hyatt Milan Reopens its Doors After a €20 Million Makeove.

Hyatt Hotels Corporation (NYSE: H) announced that the iconic five-star luxury establishment Park Hyatt Milano opens its doors today after two years of extensively reimagining its spaces, while staying true to the property’s unmatched, historic character. A stone’s throw from the Duomo and with direct access to the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, the former bank, formidable palazzo and historical hotel offers a brand-new, luxury experience to its international and local guests, in perfect harmony with the city’s cultural context.

Park Hyatt Milan

Strategically positioned in the heart of Milano, the exclusive hotel and its recent enhancements provide the perfect backdrop to discover authentic Italian luxury. The 106 guestrooms and 25 suites, as well as the common spaces, have been preserved to reflect the property’s historical identity.

Elements of contemporary design combined with classic interiors in a delicate and neutral palette evoke a feeling of understated Milanese elegance, delivering guests a refined, home-away-from-home. Sustainability aspects came into play during the restoration of the building’s foundations – while equipping the house with new water pipes and modern air conditioning units as well as focusing on FSC® certified materials for many of the refurbishments.

“The reinvented atmosphere of the new Park Hyatt Milano combines well-beloved and unexpected touches to a deeply personal, luxury offering,” said Monique Dekker, area vice president, Hyatt. “Being able to make such an investment during a critical time for the hospitality industry is reassuring and, I know our team in Milan is thrilled to host local and international guests again.”

The four Terrace Suites, the Presidential Suite and the Duomo Suite with their unbeatable panoramic terraces each overlook the city skyline. Warm-toned durmast oak parquet and original light travertine marble from Breccia Mdicea quarries reference the neutral color palette of the Duomo of Milan and are used for the custom furnishings designed by Venetian Uno Contract. In the bathrooms, elegant medici pebbles on the floors and marble vanities combined with hand-blown glass light fixtures represent a traditional interpretation of Italian luxury. Among others, artwork from Stefano Meriggi, Matteo Boato and Luca Brandi adorn the rooms.

Park Hyatt Milano’s common areas have been revisited with great attention to detail. Located next to La Cupola and illuminated by the natural light coming from the nearly 30-foot-high (nine-meter-high) glass dome, the new fine dining restaurant Pellico 3 Milano attracts both travelers and locals. With its unique culinary experience, the menu sources ingredients and taps into the culinary traditions of France, Spain, Greece and Italy to awaken all five senses while respecting each product and its unique seasonality. The bright space, designed by architect Flaviano Capriotti, features a color palette inspired by the ingredients: warm chestnut brown, urchin yellow, a cool artichoke green with orange and purple tying in pumpkin and saffron. The ceiling and floor reflect the magic of the sky and the productive capacity of the earth, setting the perfect scene for Chef Guido Paternollo’s haute cuisine.

The reopened AQVAM Spa – which features a Turkish bath, multifunctional showers, and a jacuzzi bath adorned with an intricate gold mosaic – offers a selection of treatments utilizing the 111SKIN treatment line. The urban wellness oasis and the gym, equipped with latest generation Technogym equipment, round out the property’s refreshed offering.
