The country’s claimed this accolade 5 times before in 2017 – 2021.

At the World Golf Awards Gala Ceremony 2022, Vietnam beat out heavy hitters in the region including Japan, China, Korea, Thailand, Indonesia and Malaysia, to become the “Asia’s Best Golf Destination 2022”.

This award for Asia Best Golf Destination marks the 6th time in a row Vietnam receives this title. In the World category, Vietnam was honoured as “World’s Best Golf Destination” for 2 times in 2019 and 2021. It is a rigid affirmation of the excellent potential and reputation of Vietnam Golf tourism in the region and the world.

Mr. Graham Cooke – Chairman of the World Golf Awards 2022 shared that he has been to Vietnam many times and found that the country has a long coastline, a great climate to be able to play golf all year round. Vietnam also has many beautiful golf courses, which have been built up to international standards. That’s why Vietnam was voted as Asia’s favourite golf destination. Mr. Cooke then sent his congratulations to Vietnam and the Vietnam Tourism Golf Association.

Noticeably, at the WGA this year, the Vietnam Tourism Golf Association (VTGA) received “World’s Best Golf Association 2022” and the ELS Performance Golf Academy was crowned for “World’s Best Par 3 Golf Course 2022”.

This is a worthy achievement for Vietnam’s efforts when opening up to the world, strongly promoting the tourism industry, especially golf tourism in the post-Covid-19 period. The award resembles the success of promoting the image of Vietnam Golf, in which, Golf course investors, airlines, travel and tourism industry play a very important role in Vietnam.

Cruise Saudi, Jeddah Islamic Port and Yanbu Commercial Port welcomed MSC Splendida for its inaugural visit to Saudi ports, as part of Cruise Saudi’s third cruise season which runs from November 2022 until May 2023.

Following global cruise traditions to celebrate a ship’s inauguration visit to a port, plaque and key exchange ceremonies were held. The first was at Jeddah Islamic Port on Wednesday, November 23, in the presence of MSC Splendida’s captain, Chief Legal and Governmental Affairs Officer at Cruise Saudi, Dr. Hani Gharbawi, and officials from The Saudi Ports Authority (Mawani); and the second was held at Yanbu Commercial Port on Thursday, November 24. Throughout this season, the ship will make weekly calls at both Jeddah and Yanbu Ports, on 3, 4 and 7-day cruise itineraries, which also include Egypt and Jordan.

The visits are in line with Cruise Saudi and Mawani’s goals to establish a fully integrated, world-class cruise industry in Saudi – an additional arm to the country’s flourishing tourism industry – and to transform the country into a premier global cruise destination. This season marks Cruise Saudi’s third official season and will welcome 75+ scheduled calls from ships from five global cruise lines.

With a capacity of 4,300 passengers and 1,000+ crew members, MSC Splendida has a myriad of activities and facilities available for guests including four swimming pools, a jogging track, a squash court and gym as well as the MSC Aurea Spa and a sun deck which offers stunning views of the sea.

Dr. Hani Gharbawi commented on the arrival of the ship: “We are pleased to welcome MSC Splendida to Saudi – the fourth ship from MSC Cruises to sail Saudi waters since Cruise Saudi launched the industry less than two years ago. Cruise Saudi previously welcomed three other MSC cruise ships to sail Saudi waters: MSC Orchestra kicked off the winter season last week, MSC Virtuosa visited earlier this year and MSC Bellissima was the first ship to homeport from Jeddah Islamic Port’s cruise terminal in July 2021.

In addition to MSC Splendida, the following ships are scheduled to call at Saudi ports during the ongoing season: MSC Orchestra, MSC Sinfonia, Silversea Silver Spirit, Residences at Sea’s The World, Viking Neptune, Silversea Silver Cloud and Fred. Olsen Bolette.

Since its launch in January 2021, Cruise Saudi – in conjunction with Mawani and other local and governmental entities – has equipped three ports in Saudi (Jeddah, Yanbu, and Dammam) with the required infrastructure to receive cruise ships. The company has operated two successful seasons in 2021/2022 and welcomed 50,000+ local and international passengers (from 80+ nationalities), ships from four global cruise lines that conducted 70+ sailings.

The new route enables SAS customers to travel easily from both the West and East side of New York as SAS continues to offer departures from Scandinavia to Newark.

Emirates to operate double daily direct flights to Colombo from 1 December

Emirates has announced plans to add an additional daily direct flight between Dubai and Colombo, starting from 1 December 2022, to cater to the seasonal increase in the demand for travel.

The additional service, operating as EK648/EK649, will increase the number of daily flights between the two cities to three, including two direct flights and one operating via the Maldivian capital, Male.

Emirates’ second daily flight will operate direct between Dubai and Colombo, except during 16 to 30 December, when the service from Dubai to Colombo will stop over in Male.

From 1 to 15 December and from 31 December to 26 March, EK648 will depart Dubai at 16:10hrs daily and arrive in Colombo at 21:55hrs, all times local. Flight EK648 will be routed via Male from 16th to 30th December, and will during that period, depart Dubai at 10.30hrs and arrive in Male at 14.45hrs. It will then depart from Male at 17.15hrs and arrive in Colombo at 19.15hrs.

Throughout the period from 1 December to 26 March, flight EK649 is scheduled to depart Colombo at 02:55hrs and arrive in Dubai at 05:55hrs.

On the Albanian Riviera, Meliá announced in 2021 the Hotel Altea Meliá Collection , in Palasa Beach, a luxury hotel with 142 rooms and suites, among which its spectacular villas stand out. Meliá adds 1,600 rooms in its expansion project in Albania Along with these projects, Meliá has just announced the signing of another three franchise hotels, making a total of 7 hotels and nearly 1,600 rooms. The new firms include a hotel of the Sol by Meliá vacation brand in Golem, a coastal city very close to the capital, Tirana, and which is currently one of the main vacation destinations in the country. The Sol Fafa Golem hotel will be an extensive avant-garde resort on the beach with 460 rooms. Oriented towards families, it will have a wide variety of services, including multiple restaurants and bars, swimming pools and children’s areas.

The second of the new projects signed is the future Eliza Hotel Affiliated by Meliá , a modern establishment with 46 rooms in Tirana, which is under construction and could open its doors at the end of this year, thus becoming the first opening of the company in Albania. The latest hotel signed is the Hotel Tomorri Affiliated by Meliá , with 120 rooms. Located in Berat, in south central Albania, this city has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2008. The hotel is part of a complex, also consisting of a new casino, and is expected to open in 2024. In 2021, the country received 5.6 million international tourists.

Delta recently announced an increase in frequencies between North and South America, with weekly seats growing 130% in Chile and over 170% in Brazil this winter as ATL-SCL and JFK-GRU are increased to daily service and as Delta seasonally returns to Rio de Janeiro and adds a second daily trip in ATLGRU.
In total, the JV frequency adjustments add more than 23,000 weekly seats to connect North and South America like never before.

Direct flights Sao Paulo to Los Angeles

LATAM Airlines Group and Delta Air Lines made the first operational announcements after receiving the approval of their Joint Venture agreement in September. Among the initiatives, LATAM announced the launch of new service of direct flights Sao Paulo to Los Angeles beginning July 1, 2023, adding a popular destination not currently served from Los Angeles. Additionally, this new route offers customers access to the largest U.S.-South America corporate and overall market from LAX, where Delta is the largest global carrier.

The flight will have an initial frequency of three times per week on Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, with capacity for 410 passengers (38 in the Premium Business cabin, 50 in Economy+ and 322 in Economy).

It will depart from São Paulo (Guarulhos) Airport at 11:05 p.m. on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, arriving in Los Angeles at 7 a.m. the next day. From Los Angeles, flights will depart at 1 p.m. on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays, and will arrive in São Paulo (Guarulhos) at 5:20 a.m. the following day.

This month marks five years since Emirates and flydubai activated their extensive partnership and joined forces to offer customers unrivalled travel options to every corner of the globe. The carriers’ joint route network has significantly expanded, enabling more than 11 million customers to connect on over 250,000 flights and benefit from seamless travel since the partnership launched in 2017.

The innovative partnership goes beyond the standard codesharing model and today includes integrated network collaboration, schedule optimisation, seamless connectivity at Dubai International airport (DXB) between Terminals 2 and 3, baggage transfers on a single itinerary, as well as reciprocal loyalty benefits under the joint loyalty programme, Emirates Skywards.

Here’s five key highlights of Emirates and flydubai’s partnership and the benefits it offers to customers:

Joint network offers unrivalled choice: Today, customers have access to 215 destinations across 98 countries, with over 250 codeshare flights to choose from on an average day. Emirates customers can book flights to over 80 unique flydubai destinations and flydubai customers can choose from over 99 Emirates destinations. Popular customer favourites, whether travelling for business or leisure include: Kathmandu, Kuwait, the Maldives, Tel Aviv, and Zanzibar.

Joint loyalty programme maximising customer rewards: More than 8.5 million members have been able to enjoy joint Emirates and flydubai frequent flyer programme benefits, earning 150 billion Skywards Miles in the last five years through the partnership.

Seamless connectivity at DXB: Customers enjoy seamless check-in, efficient baggage transfers, passenger access to Emirates’ lounges at Terminal 3 and the flydubai lounge at Terminal 2, reduced connection times as both airlines expand their flight schedules, and convenient connections to 33 flydubai destinations operated from Emirates Terminal 3 in DXB.

Continued network growth: New travel opportunities are being created for the 270,000 passengers who connect between both airlines each month as Emirates and flydubai continue to add more flights to their schedules. This offers customers more flexibility with multiple daily flight departures to destinations like Bahrain, Kuwait, Karachi, the Maldives, key cities in Saudi Arabia and Tel Aviv. Continued investment in enhancing the customer experience: Emirates will retrofit 120 aircraft with Premium Economy seats starting this month as part of a $2 billion investment which also includes elevated dining options and more sustainable choices. flydubai has debuted a new Business Class recliner seat offering customers more comfort on its short and medium haul flights. flydubai has grown its fleet to 70 Boeing 737 aircraft and will retrofit a number of its existing aircraft, as well as equip its future aircraft, with its new Business Class seats.

Aptly named “COLOROID,” every cocktail was carefully crafted by Head Bartender Ádám Rédli, who envisioned a menu where colours and flavours combined would take mixology to a whole new dimension. Elegant and refined, yet modern and playful, Muzsa Budapest has become the gold standard for craft cocktail experience in the city.

“After a very successful first menu, we knew we had a big challenge ahead of us. I wanted to take the craft cocktail experience to a new level, but still retaining the playfulness that our original cocktails are known for,” says Ádám Rédli, Head Bartender. “I’ve always been interested in the origins of colour, and I knew it was a theme that we would one day explore on our menu.”

The name of the menu is paying homage to the work of Hungarian professor Antal Nemcsics, who over the course of two decades developed the Coloroid Colour System, a colour-order system used by architects and visual constructors.

Consisting of 15 colours masterfully interpreted both visually and through flavours, the cocktails are divided into three eras and are paired with unique menu descriptions designed to stir the imagination. The eras are Chromatic Dawn, Golden Age and Luminous Horizons, each with five cocktails that narrate their own origins. Every cocktail is made with a different spirit and combined with the finest locally-sourced ingredients to provide unique flavour profiles ranging from umami to bittersweet to low ABV.

Muzsa Budapest

In the Chromatic Dawn, Muzsa Buapest’s cocktails pay tribute to the very first pigments and ancient dyes. The signature drink, Dragons Blood, is a modern take on the traditional whisky cocktail, Old Fashioned. Its bitter and nutty taste is provided by MÚZSA’s macadamia malt and maple, cherry herring and melon verjus.

In the Golden Age, the new-wave spirit-based cocktails are like a meeting with the divine. Its signature drink, the Martini-style Sunglow, is a sublime concoction made with pisco, saffron and edible gold, making it the most glamorous of all and with a characterful flavour.

The Luminous Horizons showcases the visible light spectrum; under the ethos of sustainability, using cutting edge mixology and technology are created the most adventurous cocktails on the menu. The signature drink, Cobalt, with its striking shade of blue promises to be the picture-perfect drink served in the iconic poppy head shaped glass. It’s a low ABV drink made with Szechuan button, jasmine and lemongrass and poppy, with fruity flavour notes.

Executive Chef Árpád Győrffy brings an exciting new selection of sophisticated bar food offerings such as Tofu and Avocado, Spicy Prawn Miso Soup, Wagyu Tataki and Mangalica Tonkatsu. Everything is presented on bespoke hand-painted Herend Porcelain sets. The menu, featuring small plates and tapas style bites, is designed for sharing.

Flights will now be available from Suceava to “Ben Gurion” International Airport in Tel Aviv. Seats for the new services are already on sale on wizzair.com and through the mobile app from as low as 29.99 EUR / 149 RON*.

This new route is the first one operated by Wizz Air from Suceava to the Middle East, adding up to the 12 existing routes in Europe.

Starting January 9th, 2023, the airline will offer two weekly flights from Suceava to Tel Aviv, on Mondays and Fridays.

This WIZZ air Romania to Israel route expansion comes less than a month before Wizz Air will open its new base at Suceava “Ștefan cel Mare” International Airport and before it will deliver two new aircraft that will support operations on five already announced routes to Paris-Beauvais (France), Brussels-Charleroi (Belgium), Venice-Treviso (Italy), Larnaca (Cyprus) and Eindhoven (Netherlands), as well as frequency increases on three routes, to Bologna, Milan-Bergamo and Rome Fiumicino.

Wizz Air continues to expand its operations throughout the network, as it remains devoted to regional airports, adding more aircraft to the network and recruiting more flight attendants.

Thus, only in November and December 2022, the airline will host three recruitment events in Suceava for aspiring flight attendants who wish to work in one of the strongest and most stable airlines. The Suceava recruitment events will take place on November 18th, December 2nd and 14th. In Romania, Wizz Air has hired over 300 flight attendants this year alone, planning to welcome another 200 during the next year.

Hilton announces the opening of DoubleTree by Hilton Foz do Iguaçu Brazil

With a growing global footprint, Hilton opens the newest addition to the DoubleTree by Hilton portfolio in the tourist city of Foz do Iguaçu, state of Paraná.
Opened this week, DoubleTree by Hilton Foz do Iguaçu Brazil is managed by Iguaçu-based Viale de Hotéis, with the national support of Atlantica Hospitality International, a hospitality manager with more than 170 ventures throughout Brazil.

“DoubleTree by Hilton brings a warm welcome to the guest experience, including the brand’s signature, warm DoubleTree chocolate chip cookie offered at check-in,” said Fabio Prado, general manager, DoubleTree by Hilton Foz do Iguaçu.

DoubleTree by Hilton Foz do Iguaçu is located in the main tourist corridor of the city, Avenida das Cataratas, providing easy access to the main tourist attractions in the region, including the Argentine border, Catuaí Palladium shopping mall, Duty Free stores, a water park, bird park, helicopter ride and the majestic wonder of nature, Iguazu Falls.

“Foz do Iguaçu is a versatile destination that combines business and tourism. Thus, we strongly believe that DoubleTree by Hilton Foz do Iguacu Brazil will be a distinctive accommodation option in one of the world’s main triple borders, focused on offering convenience and signature hospitality to travelers,” said Ricardo Bluvol, vice president of development, Atlantica Hospitality International.

Occupying a total area of 35,000 square meters with approximately 12,000 square meters of built area, the hotel has a welcoming lobby, with contemporary furniture and bold design. The hotel also offers more than 250 guest rooms and upscale suites, including the Presidential Suite, featuring panoramic views of the sunset and the new International Bridge of Integration Brazil – Paraguay.

The DoubleTree by Hilton Foz do Iguaçu Brazil garden has large green areas, with plants from the Atlantic Forest biome. Guests can relax in the outdoor pools, in the heated indoor pool or unwind in the world-class spa, offering massage services and other spa treatments. For the little ones, fun is guaranteed at the kids club or in the children’s pool. The hotel also offers tennis courts, beach tennis courts, a multi-sport court and a football 7 court. Guests can find state-of-the-art equipment and request personal trainer services at the hotel’s fitness center or relax in the sauna and steam rooms.

Featuring two restaurants, DoubleTree by Hilton Foz do Iguaçu offers guests a variety of all-day dining experiences, supporting local suppliers and Brazilian, Argentinian and Paraguayan ingredients from the region. DoubleTree by Hilton Foz do Iguaçu also caters to meeting and events needs and offers three meeting rooms, the largest one with capacity for up to 100 people. In the outdoor area, events such as weddings and birthdays can accommodate larger groups, up to 1,000 guests.

The DoubleTree by Hilton Foz do Iguaçu Brazil also features renewable and energy efficient technologies, including a solar collector system for water heating, rainwater reuse and natural lighting in both public spaces and rooms, supporting Hilton’s “Travel with Purpose” initiative, and in line with Atlantica’s Aja Responsibility and Sustainability program.
