The staging of TBEX Asia 2022 follows Thailand’s full reopening to international tourism with travellers to the kingdom no longer having to show proof of vaccination or ATK test results, and being able to enjoy a longer length of stay, effective from 1 October, 2022.

TBEX Asia 2022

Mr. Yuthasak Supasorn, Governor of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), said “TBEX Asia 2022 is a fantastic opportunity for travel bloggers and influencers the world over to reconnect in person post-pandemic and see some of the wonderful travel experiences – existing and new – on offer in Thailand. The TBEX Asia 2022 theme reflects precious art, cultural diversity, a variety of destinations and activities, and the Southern Thailand lifestyle, particularly that of Phuket.

The spectacular main venue for TBEX Asia 2022 is Angsana Laguna Phuket, which is part of Asia’s first integrated resort Laguna Phuket on beautiful Bang Tao Bay.

The event programme for the four days of 15-18 November comprises a variety of Pre-BEX tour programmes and the conference itself, including a workshop, keynote addresses, breakout sessions, and speed networking.

Bergamo Brescia Italian capital of culture 2023

October 05, 2022 –

The Italian Capital of Culture initiative launched in 2014 promotes the appreciation of Italian cultural heritage with projects and activities. For first time, two cities have come together as the Italian Capital of Culture in acknowledgement of the cultural vibrancy that emerged during the pandemic.

Capital of culture 2023

This extraordinary project is supported by leading Italian companies – Intesa Sanpaolo and A2A as Main Partners, Brembo as System Partner – and institutional partners such as the Italian Culture Ministry and the Fondazione Cariplo.
Changing a territory through culture. The Bergamo and Brescia initiative will kick off a wide-ranging project to tackle contemporary challenges focused on culture, sustainability, enhancement of the artist heritage, welfare and innovation. Italian Capital of Culture 2023 has a packed programme of 100 major projects and another 500 initiatives, the work of many organisations through a network of joint planning.

It begins with a magnificent inaugural ceremony on the 21st and 22nd of January, 2023 and continues all year with events linked to music, theatre, art and much more. The Festival of Lights will get the ball rolling: Brescia (10-19 February) and Bergamo (17-26 February) will become open-air art galleries, featuring prestigious national and international artists.

The campaign to draw in an international public will unveil an unexpected face of Italy, breaking out of the “information bubble”: Bergamo and Brescia are less well-known destinations than the main Italian cities popular with foreign visitors but art, centuries-old tradition, innovation, majestic natural landscapes, historical monuments, food, wine and much more can all be found there.

“Bergamo and Brescia Italian Capital of Culture 2023,” said Bergamo’s Mayor, Giorgio Gori, “is a joint approach to the challenge our two cities wanted to tackle at a historic time of great change. Culture, as well as being an essential lever for attracting tourism, is vital for the improvement of the life of our communities.”

Brescia’s Mayor, Emilio Del Bono, commented: “As Italian Capital of Culture 2023, Bergamo and Brescia are renewing their production system and cultural offer at all levels, cooperating with associations and businesses, preserving and augmenting the heritage, attracting tourists and creating new opportunities for development and training.”

Munich’s Oktoberfest Is Underway for the First Time in 2 Years

Munich’s Oktoberfest Is Underway for the First Time in 2 Years

Munich’s Oktoberfest Is Underway for the First Time in 2 Years

September 22, 2022

Oktoberfest is officially underway after Munich’s mayor tapped the first keg over the weekend.

Mayor Dieter Reiter hammered a keg three times, tapping it to the tune of a celebratory countdown on Saturday to officially welcome the festival back for the first time since before the pandemic. The 187th Oktoberfest will take place through Oct. 3 without any pandemic-era restrictions in place.

This momentous Oktoberfest is being celebrated after two years of cancellations due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Reiter told The Associated Press on Saturday the decision to bring the festivities back “was a good decision.”

“I’m glad that we can finally celebrate together,” Bavarian governor Markus Soeder told the wire service. “There are many who say, ‘Can we, can we not? Is it appropriate now?’ I just want to say one thing: We have two or three difficult years behind us, no one knows exactly what this winter will be like, and we need joie de vivre and strength.”

Oktoberfest was first held in 1810 to commemorate the marriage of Crown Prince Ludwig of Bavaria to Princess Therese. In addition to the beer, visitors this year will be treated to historical rides at the Oide Wiesn, which was initially intended to be a one-off event in 2010 to celebrate the 200th anniversary of Oktoberfest, but proved so popular it became a tradition in itself.

In past years, Oktoberfest has typically drawn about 6 million visitors per year.

In June, Germany dropped all COVID-19-related travel restrictions, eliminating the need to show proof of vaccination, a negative test, or proof of recovery to enter, according to the German Missions in the United States.

Travelers who head to the country can experience so much more than its beer with Germany’s gorgeous forests, picturesque small towns, and cool upside-down railway. As a bonus: Germany is the best place in the world to work remotely from due to its cybersecurity, economic, and social conditions (and the beer doesn’t hurt).

Meeting With King Tut! It was 100 years ago that the amazing Tutankhamun tomb was discovered

Meeting with King Tut

Meeting with King Tut

Meeting With King Tut! Egypt is celebrating the centennial of the discovery of Tutankhamun’s tomb!

A grand Conference is taking place in Luxor from the 4th to the 6th of November this year, featuring keynote speaker, the renowned Egyptologist Dr. Zahi Hawas.

Meeting with King Tut

The opening session will be presented by Lord and Lady Carnarvon who are the descendants of the 5th Earl of Carnarvon, the sponsor of Howard Carter’s excavation for the discovery of Tutankhamun tomb 100 years ago.

Meeting with King Tut: The celebration will spot the light on the iconic discovery by contextualizing it and presenting the latest research on the Youngest King Tutankhamun, his tomb and its contents. Be part of the great event, and let us help you with the travel arrangements.

Conference details:  British Archaeologist and Egyptologist Dr. Howard Carter led the excavation mission who discovered Tutankhamun’s tomb in November 1922.

Meeting with King Tut: As a result of the quantity and spectacular appearance of the burial goods, the tomb attracted a media frenzy and became the most famous find in the history of Egyptology.

Tutankhamun became one of the best-known pharaohs, and some artefacts from his tomb, like the golden funerary mask, are among the best-known artworks from ancient Egypt.

The tomb of Tutankhamun, tomb number KV62 in the Valley of the Kings in Luxor, is the burial place of the youngest Pharaoh King Tutankhamun who reigned c. 1334–1325 BC.

Besides the king’s Mummy, the tomb contains his coffin, furniture, clothing, jewellery and over 5,000 items. which gives an insight into the material culture of wealthy ancient Egyptians Pharaohs, despite the relatively small tomb due to the premature death of Tutankhamun.

The Grand Egyptian Museum will have a dedicated area to exhibit all the belongings of King Tutankhamun all in one place for the first time in history.

Singapore Food Festival 2022 – festive event for Foodies

Singapore Food Festival

Singapore Food Festival

August 16, 2022 – Singapore Food Festival 2022 set to cook up a storm with a Festival Village and over 70 experiences

The annual Singapore Food Festival (SFF) returns for its 29th edition from 24 August to 11 September 2022, with a feast of over 70 gastronomic experiences based on the pillars of heritage, contemporary and innovation. For the first time since the pandemic, SFF 2022 offers a sumptuous spread of in-person experiences, including a Festival Village with over 25 food establishments and a special 9-course dinner, as well as an array of workshops, tours, and exclusive menus at partner restaurants.

Foodies residing outside Singapore can also enjoy a taste of authentic local fare through SFF activations in select countries and virtual masterclasses, or go behind-the-scenes to learn more about the lives of local chefs and brands through SFF-exclusive video content on the festival site.

Ms Teyi Guo, Director, Retail & Dining, Singapore Tourism Board, said: “The Singapore Food Festival has always been a celebration of our multi-cultural local cuisine, and a global platform for our chefs, bartenders and food personalities.

As international travel resumes, we are excited to bring SFF back to its usual format, with engaging in-person programming so visitors can fully experience the international palate of our city. We encourage everyone to come and experience Singapore cuisine in a new way through our exciting line-up of both in-person and virtual experiences.”

Singapore Food Festival Programming Highlights

This year’s line-up, with the theme ‘Real Foodies Only’, comprises several components: the Festival Village, limited-time menus at partner restaurants, tours and workshops, virtual offerings, as well as overseas activations.

The Festival Village will bring together over 25 culinary and beverage brands at the Bayfront Event Space from 31 August to 11 September 2022 for the Singapore Food Festival. Over 25 food establishments will serve familiar favourites with an innovative twist, such as Jelebu Dry Laksa’s signature dish topped with Boston lobster and tiger prawns.

Singapore’s hottest food truck The Goodburger is set to sizzle with Blue Lotus Eating House on a SFF-exclusive plant-based Golden Chilli Crab Burger, while the newly-minted Michelin Bib Gourmand stall One Prawn & Co will collaborate with heritage brand Hock Lian Huat to present a thick, silky prawn bisque with shrimps, mussels and clams (above), alongside a ngoh hiang (five-spiced meat rolls) platter.

The Chef Arena situated within the grounds of the Festival Village will present a special 9-course dinner created by top culinary masters featured in SFF 2022’s virtual masterclasses, complete with a Martell Noblige cocktail created by Juan Yi Jun, the head bartender of No Sleep Club.

Complementing the food offerings is a curated line-up of workshops for those who prefer to get hands-on. Foodies can learn the art of mixing spices from 3rd generation owner, Jeya Seelan from traditional spice stall Jeya Spices; as well as gather Thermomix tips to whip up delicious meals with cookbook author Annie Xavier and passionate home bakers.

There will also be a Marketplace featuring a curated selection of merchandise and an Entertainment stage presented by Tiger Beer.

Beyond the Festival Village, various restaurants island-wide will offer festival-exclusive dishes. In an ode to the melting pot of cultures in Singapore, Two Men Bagel House will present a bagelwich (left) packed with the aromatic flavours of Chinese, Indian and Malay curries; while Italian meets Malay at Italian-inspired restaurant and bar Dopo Teatro with its sambal goreng pizza.

In a meeting of old and new, deli veteran Steeple’s Deli will collaborate with new-school Park Bench Deli for a 1-day pop-up at Steeple’s Deli, featuring sandwiches that incorporate the former’s mouth-watering corned beef and the latter’s pastrami.

Foodies with a sweet tooth must try the Teh Halia flavoured ice cream or the guava sorbet with sour plum powder by Made With Passion[1] brands The Ice Cream & Cookie Co. and Creamier.

For foodies with an adventurous streak, various tours and workshops are happening around the island during the festival period. Atlas Aquaculture and Blue Aqua are organising trips to land-based urban fish and shrimp farms for participants to learn more about where their food comes from and how they can harvest their own shrimp at home.

Foodies can also sign up for a plant-based cheese and gin pairing workshop by Nut Culture and Brass Lion Distillery, for an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the distillery and an introduction to the botanicals that make up their Singapore Dry Gin (left).

For those who crave interactive drama, learn to make comfort foods of the 60s’ while being regaled with stories by grandpas and grandmas, in an immersive theatrical workshop by Oh! Stories.

Festival goers can attend fringe events including the Singapore Vegan Festival and Feed 9 Billion Singapore Restaurant Week, both of which feature sustainable, healthy food options and creative innovations. SFF has also partnered Airbnb Experiences for three highly immersive workshops including one where coffee aficionados can make and taste cold brew coffee using locally roasted coffee beans.

One-Michelin star restaurant Burnt Ends will also be throwing a party, gathering restaurants within the enclave to serve good food and groovy tunes.

Singapore Food Festival 2022 also caters to those who prefer culinary adventures from the comfort of home. 9 free-to-view virtual masterclasses will be held, offering avid foodies the opportunity to cook-along live with some of the best culinary talents in Asia.

These include four-hands collaborations between Asia’s Best Pastry Chef 2022 Maira Yeo from two-Michelin star Cloudstreet and Chef Justin Lee of JL Dessert Bar in Seoul; and Chef Will Goldfarb of Room4Dessert in Bali and Chef Genevieve Lee of Sourbombe Bakery. Food kits are available on the SFF website to enrich the masterclass experience.

Bringing Singapore’s rich and diverse culinary scene overseas to 13 countries, foodies can expect locally-inspired treats such as a 4-hands dinner in the Philippines by Chef Han Li Guang of Labyrinth and Chef Chele Gonzales of Gallery by Chele, and in the United Kingdom where KEK Seafood collaborates with UK burger chain Honest Burger on a Cereal Chicken Burger, served with a limited-edition craft beer by UK-based brewery Northern Monk and Singapore’s Off Day Beer.

Rugby World Cup

Emirates extends Rugby World Cup partnership

Emirates Rugby World Cup

Emirates extends Rugby World Cup partnership

July 27, 2022 –

World Rugby and Emirates have announced an extension of the Dubai-based airline’s long-standing relationship as a Rugby World Cup Worldwide Partner.

Rugby World Cup

Under the agreement, the leading airline will continue as Worldwide Partner of Rugby World Cup 2023 in France and Rugby World Cup 2027 in Australia.

Underscoring its commitment to the sport, Emirates is also extending its official sponsorship of the Emirates World Rugby Match Officials through to 2027, a relationship that has proven pivotal in the development and performance of elite match officials since 2013.

In joining the global family of Worldwide Partners for Rugby World Cup 2023 in France, Emirates will return to where the hugely successful relationship between the airline and the international federation began in 2007. Since then, the airline has become one of the sport’s most prominent and active supporters as a committed partner of every men’s Rugby World Cup since 2007 and proud sponsor of the Dubai and Cape Town rounds of the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series.

As the Official Airline of Rugby World Cup France 2023 and Australia 2027, Emirates will fly rugby to new frontiers and bring its leading expertise in customer experience to help deliver a truly world-class tournament for fans travelling to the host nations. Its investment in the sport as a Worldwide Partner will help support rugby’s development in both emerging and established markets, while fans will be able to watch every moment from two unforgettable Rugby World Cups live and on-demand from their flight seats, making the sport more accessible.

Supporting rugby’s values and high-performance officiating

With Emirates’ support, World Rugby will continue to invest in the development and support of the world’s top match officials, central to the sport’s values of respect and discipline. The world’s best referees will take the field in their Emirates Fly Better Macron kit when officiating in test rugby, continuing a long tradition started back in 2013.

Following the success of the award-winning ‘Whistle Watch’, a World Rugby content series presented by former international referee Nigel Owens and sponsored by Emirates, the two partners will continue to create innovative content to immerse fans into the world of match officials and inspire young referees to pick up the whistle, while making rugby’s laws more accessible

World Rugby Chairman Sir Bill Beaumont said: “We are delighted to announce the extension of our long-term and successful collaboration with Emirates for the next two men’s Rugby World Cups and in support of our men’s and women’s match officials programme. Emirates’ global network and passion for our sport will be key in our efforts to make rugby truly global and their proven excellence in customer experience will be an asset to take our fan services to the next level.”

World Rugby Chief Revenue and Fan Engagement Officer Richard Heaselgrave added: “Emirates has a global stature as a partner and that is incredibly prestigious for any tournament. For Rugby World Cup, we’ve had Emirates on board for more than a decade and we’re immensely proud to be partnering again for the next two pinnacle men’s tournaments.

“Emirates’ global operations in most major markets across the world helps us raise awareness of our sport and their belief in excellence is aligned with our own vision of staging world-class events. Emirates is right at the heart of creating events that people want to take part in, bringing fans closer to the action. We are in the business of days out and unforgettable memories. So are Emirates.”

Emirates Airline President, Sir Tim Clark, said: “Rugby is a sport with great values and a proud heritage in many countries. It is also a sport that’s attracting more participation and interest across communities each year as we are seeing in the UAE where rugby just made it into school programmes nationwide. We see rugby as a great platform to bring people together under a shared passion for the sport.

“Emirates has been a proud sponsor of Rugby World Cup since 2007. France 2023 also coincides with Emirates’ 30 years of flight operations to Paris, Charles de Gaulle and considering we now have 31 weekly flights to France, Emirates is looking forward to flying in fans to watch the world’s best teams competing for the Webb Ellis Cup.”

By renewing as a Worldwide Partner of Rugby World Cup, Emirates joins Societe Generale, Mastercard, Asahi, Capgemini and Jaguar Land Rover in the global family of Worldwide Partners for Rugby World Cup 2023. Emirates also becomes the fourth Global Partner of World Rugby, joining Capgemini, Macron and HSBC.

Adele in Las Vegas – shows have been rescheduled to November 2022

Adele in Las Vegas

Adele in Las Vegas

July 26, 2022 – Adele’s long-postponed Las Vegas shows will finally begin in November. These shows will take place 11 months after its original launch date. “Words can’t explain how ecstatic I am to finally be able to announce these rescheduled shows,” she said on social media as she revealed the new dates. “I truly was heartbroken to have to cancel them.”

Adele in Las Vegas

The decision to cancel the original shows came just 1 day before the first show was due to take place in January, leaving fans hugely disappointed.

“I’m so sorry, but my show ain’t ready,” the star told fans in a tearful Instagram post at the time.

Adele in Las Vegas: Many fans complained they had spent thousands of dollars on tickets, accommodation and plane fares, only for Adele to cancel last-minute when they were already en route to Vegas.

Since then, there have been few updates, and left fans dangling –  wondering if the show would ever go ahead. In a statement on Monday, the singer apologised for the delays, but defended her right to postpone the concerts.

“I know for some of you it was a horrible decision on my part, and I will always be sorry for that, but I promise you it was the right one,” she wrote on Instagram.

After an “eternity of figuring out logistics”, she said she hoped fans could look forward to the new dates.

“To be with you in such an intimate space every week has been what I’ve most been looking forward to and I’m going to give you the absolute best of me,” she wrote. Come see Adele in Las Vegas!

World Series of Poker starts May 31

World Series of Poker

World Series of Poker

May 25, 2022- World Series of Poker Announces 2022 Daily Event Schedule

The 53rd World Series of Poker® (WSOP®) – the richest, most prestigious and longest-running poker series.

Following a successful 17-year run at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino, the WSOP moves to the Las Vegas Strip for the very first time at Bally’s, the future Horseshoe, and Paris Las Vegas Hotel & Casino, and will feature the WSOP’s inaugural Master of Ceremonies, Vince Vaughn.

The move to the Strip builds upon the legacy for Caesars Entertainment’s World Series of Poker, as the first-ever tournament was played at Las Vegas’ original Horseshoe in 1970. Doors open on Tuesday, May 31 with exciting action through the event’s conclusion on Wednesday, July 20.

World Series of Poker

“This year is particularly historic for the WSOP with its move to the heart of the Las Vegas Strip and debut in the best facilities we’ve ever had,” said Ty Stewart, the WSOP’s Executive Director residing over his 17th WSOP. “We’re ready to welcome players from all over the world to our housewarming party at Bally’s, soon-to-be Horseshoe, and Paris. The schedule is jam-packed with first-class events and we expect this to be the biggest and most anticipated WSOP yet.”

WSOP will again feature the much-anticipated $10,000 No-Limit Hold’em World Championship, also known as the “Main Event”, which in 2021 hosted 6,650 entrants from around the world despite taking place during a pandemic. This year’s Main Event is back to its traditional time frame around the July 4 holiday, beginning on Sunday, July 3. The legendary deep-stack tournament will continue play through the Final Table on Friday, July 15 and Saturday, July 16.

The WSOP’s new home will include all convention space at both Paris Las Vegas and Bally’s. This will create the largest tournament capacity in the event’s history with over 200,000 square feet and 600 poker tables. The 2022 World Series of Poker will host a wide variety of tournaments ranging in price from $400 to $250,000. The main cage will be placed at Paris Las Vegas while the TV set staging will be in the Bally’s Event Center as the two buildings are connected and share a parking garage.

This year’s tournament will also feature a $5,000,000 guaranteed prize pool WSOP opening weekend dubbed “The Housewarming”, featuring a $500 buy-in. This popular price point for the opening weekend has generated some of the largest field sizes in the history of poker. Last year’s “Reunion” event generated a whopping 12,973 entrants and organizers are expecting an even larger field as the event returns to its traditional summer schedule.

World Series of Poker will work with broadcast partner CBS Sports for a second season of coverage with daily streaming on PokerGo. Produced exclusively by Poker Central, there will be 18 different bracelet events to be televised with a minimum of 15 hours of coverage for the 2022 Main Event.

When booking early, entrants of the World Series of Pokerbracelet events can enjoy reduced hotel room rates at Bally’s and Paris, as well as all Caesars Entertainment resorts in Las Vegas by using the special advanced booking code “WSOP22”. Rates are based on availability and are subject to change. To view a complete list of rates across all Caesars Entertainment properties, please visit our Reservations page.

Schedule highlights below. To view the entire gold bracelet schedule, please visit WSOP 2022 Schedule where a downloadable version is provided.
